Twitter Killed Its App Vine

These last few days I've read a lot of bad news about Twitter as how they're going down day by day , personally I'm not fan of Twitter and I've already said that before but I think that Twitter will be dead within some years, and that it's not only my opinion, before a few weeks ago if I'm not wrong Twitter was considering to sell itself. Now, as it seems they are killing its own app vine that they bought it in 2013, which is a very popular app that allows you share short-forms videos online.

Apparently, they're doing that to revive Twitter again, it's hard to say if they will succeed with this move, but probably it's the right thing to do in the situation that they are.

Official Announcement

Today, we are sharing the news that in the coming months we’ll be discontinuing the mobile app.

Nothing is happening to the apps, website or your Vines today. We value you, your Vines, and are going to do this the right way. You’ll be able to access and download your Vines. We’ll be keeping the website online because we think it’s important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made. You will be notified before we make any changes to the app or website.

Google needed to buy Twitter ASAP, before to much damage is done. Apparently, Pornhub shows interest in Twitter's Vine saying 6 second is more than enough for most people.

Anyway, I never used Vine so I'll never miss it but I think Twitter is making a lot of bad moves lately and it still haven't shown it can be profitable just yet so shareholders may get frightened and it will not be the first time when Twitter's stocks crumble and fall.
That's why I think Google must take over when Twitter is weak, it will give the company a huge burst in popularity and will calm down investors.

Yeah I also think a big company should take over it, but as it seems that it's not going to happen since they shut down vine it means that they're trying to revive Twitter again. Even though Twitter has a lot of users and it's competing directly with facebook it's not even close to facebook when it comes to revenue. Probably shutting down vine app it's the right move to save Twitter from going down forever.

OK so I must seriously be living under a rock and I didn't even know it. I have never even heard of Vine?

I hope Twitter is not going down. I have a lot of followers and a few different accounts so it will be a loss for me. Perhaps yeah they should sell to Google and then I will have all my accounts safe Twitter Killed Its App Vine

I had no idea Twitter was in trouble?

Actually I've never used or liked that kind of app, the only thing I know is that it was a very popular app. Now about twitter I don't know what to say, but from what I've heard it's really on some big problems when it comes to revenue, I've never thought that Twitter had problems as a social network, I've always seen it as a strong competitor against facebook. However, time will tell...

Yes that is exactly what I thought. I have always seen it as the second strongest social network and so I started concentrating on building up my audience on Twitter this last year with incredible results.

Let's just hope that they around for a while longer Twitter Killed Its App Vine

I'm glad I don't use Vine. It really sucks when you commit to a platform, and then it goes under.

I've never used it, but I know that is quite popular app. However, they're shutting down only the app, as all vines that are currently uploaded to their website will remain online.

I think Vine was a pretty cool site, I don't see why they closed the service down. They probably felt like it didn't make as much money as needed and decided to close it down completely.
