    Auto playing of videos - Do or Don't?

    If you've seen my newly launched SEOClerks service you'll also find out that I have a video that plays automatically as soon as you visit the service page.

    And if you've ever been around on "gurus" or internet marketers websites you've probably seen these auto playing videos too. - Right?

    What I wonder is if you find such videos annoying or not? - I personally hate these ads and popup-pages who auto plays their videos that goes like this: "hey, I've made $54564546 millions yesterday. Give me $5K and I'll show you how!" etc.

    That being said, I do find them useful sometimes, like in my service listing for instance.

    However, I've also heard that your visitors will leave immediately if they see a auto playing video. How about you? - Do you use them? - What's your thoughts on these auto playing videos?

    Andre firstly there is a huge difference between your video and those trashy scam videos and make money online videos! I detest it when I land up on some website and one of those stupid videos starts playing about some poor soul that couldn't feed himself or his kids and how he had lost all hope in life blah di blah and then you see him explain how he did nothing really, just clicked a link and then he is racing around in a Porsche with a stupid smile on his face... UGH!

    That sort of video will have me shut down that website so fast lol. Your video is different and adds value, it is not trashy at all and relevant to what your service is about. I say leave it Auto playing of videos - Do or Don

    So it depends on what the video is about, I often really enjoy videos autoplaying.

    How about doing a voice over for my video Lynne? - I've noticed that you're not afraid of speaking in public and you know that I don't personally like my own accent so you might be exactly what I need.. Well, perhaps not you, YOU.. But your voice. Auto playing of videos - Do or Don

    I also find it annoying, but we are probably seeing thing from the seller's perspective, maybe Jordan knows best and auto-playing videos actually converts better for potential buyers.
    On the other hand, I also believe it would be cool to have the option of disabling the autoplay for videos on our services.

    Glad to see SEOclerks making transitions towards video content because this is the future, text content will pretty much be dead and buried in 5 to 10 years, VR might take over everything but video definitely will evolve into main content websites will shows.

    Especially when I am using my phone in browsing the internet, it annoys me when I go to a site that automatically plays the video. It definitely affects the speed of display and sometimes the video would hang as if it was having a problem of its own. But it seems that automatic playing of video will be with us. If you will notice, Facebook has that semi-automatic playing of videos that even has a disclaimer that the video doesn’t eat your data allocation.

    I personally hate the auto play videos. They tend to eat a lot of bandwidth. And they can be seriously annoying. And browser gets slow due to them. I personally find Facebook videos annoying to begin with. And this can be seriously worst case scenario for many sites.
