I have been working on buiding up my websites trust flow. It was on 6 a week or two ago and now suddenly it is on 2.
Please can all the experts here give me some pointers and explain to me what affects my trust flow negatively so I can figure out what it is that I did wrong, and also to give me some pointers on what affects trust flow positively so I can work on that.
I am so confused because I have been building good backlinks and adding great content to my mommy blog. I really want to build up my authority and website strength but with a trust flow of 2 need I say more?

Trust flow of your site depends upon the quality of links those are pointing to your site.
Here Quality of link means,
1-The quality of content on that page (Who is giving you the link) "Thin content, irrelevant content, with un-natural link placement means low trust flow to your site/ 1000+ words content, well structure content, relevant content with natural link means High trust flow to your site.
2- The domain who is linking to you - If the domain is a spam then, Link quality will decrease, so will your trust flow.
3- Irrelevant Link - A link from Car related domain will not going to boost the trust flow of health related domain.
4- Number of Links Pointing to that page. It works like , C links to B , B links to A and A links to YOU.
Here, if the chain follow the above 3 guidelines, then you will get a whole bunch of SEO value from all the three websites. And your trust flow will increase. So in SEO we call it multi-tier link or link pyramid.

Now come to why your TF decreased:-
Trust flow is calculated on the average of link quality.
If your 7 out of 10 Links are qualitative, your trust flow will be good. , If 4 out of 10 Links are qualitative, your trust flow will be less.
It means, if you are getting new links everyday, but the quality of links are not increasing with it, then your TF will decrease with time. So instead of building lots of links, build few link having good quality.
- Example :- One of my friends' site (its a health blog) is getting 18,000 Google traffic per month for just 1 page/post. The post is ranked on TOP 10 for 85 keywords on Google. And the post has only 39 links pointing towards it. (There are also other factors of quality and natural link building , I will explain it another day- It's a big chapter)
So I suggest you to build a Good site, Speed loading site, Post quality content (1500+ words content will help you better), increase your social media effort and do some link building carefully. You will get much more amount of Google traffic.
