Is it worth Getting a Expired domain ?

Don't get me wrong I have recently purchased a few expired domains. I know this might also be a silly question but when I got my expired domain I straight away set it up with hosting the lot. The question really is as before you get your domain most times theres nothing there it just shows DNS page. Now the alexa backlinks often get a lot of them depending on the domain you get and niche.

Is there a way before setting it up when you bought it finding out what the meta description, title and keyword tags was before it expired. And also would this matter with your new details or would it work much better if you use the same details as the previous owner.

If you can grab an expired domain name that is great for you, any kind of backlinks that domain may have will then stick and also as you say Alexa Backlinks and ranks will also stick meaning you will get a lot of instant traffic once you set your site up. It will give you more time to work on the more important things such as creating new and good content on your site over working for backlinks because they are already there and it's just a case of keeping a steady flow of backlinks coming in for when some backlinks expire which happens frequently.

That’s a good observation about an old domain. It didn’t occur to me that an old domain may have existing backlinks that can be beneficial to your site when you create using the old domain name. However what if the niche of your site is far from the old niche of the domain, will it still apply to your site in terms of traffic or perhaps the search engines will just ignore those old backlinks? Do you think it is better to clean up the old backlinks before you create your new website using that old domain name?

I actually a month back got an expired domain with alexa backlinks 36 of total but not much traffic . Only traffic am getting is from my own promotions and the members I use on Seoclerks services .

Yes it is worth it if it is in line with your niche.
Some people are millionaires now because they purchased expired domains, resurrect them and resold them at better prices.
So buying good expired domains is a profitable venture.

It is worth to get expired domains if it is for what you are needing to build for your sites.
Other than that, some people could use it for SEO purposes like having more quality backlinks from expired domains

There is also a site called Expired domains which you can search in your niche. I do sometimes struggle to find certain expired domains to my niche related topics. Suppose they are good sometimes depending if they have many backlinks. I also like to check to see if they been banned by google or adsense.
