Most YouTubers aren't earning anymore

Most YouTubers aren
So, recently Youtube has started to gave in to traditional media claims and started to suspend ad revenue on most channels I am a subscriber off.
If you aren't aware big news agencies has started a new round of attacks against Youtube by shaming big advertisers to remove their ads from Youtube because apparently some of these ads have appeared on racist channels.
Therefore big advertisers had removed their ads from Youtube and Youtube itself was forced to suspend ads revenue on most channels that talk about "sensible subjects".

In other words, most of the YouTubers that I am a subscriber off had been hit by this new update. I only subscribe to people that have something worth sharing and can think by themselves, apparently, this isn't advertiser friends so they have stopped earning from Youtube ads.
If this won't be resolved rapidly I'm afraid that many of my favorite YouTubers will just move to something else since clearly making videos on Youtube isn't profitable anymore.

Bottom lineL: traditional media just had a great win in the war against independent publishers.

What are your thoughts on this subjects? Do you think Youtube is going to fix anything? Is the traditional media going to win?

In the past, when youtube first started, there was no monetization. People still posted videos. And it is because of this large number of people posting and watching that gave birth to monetization. I personally know a youtuber whose ad revenue got suspended. Boy, was he mad. However, he continued posting. I believe if your favourite YouTubers have been doing the videos because they sincerely have something to share, they would not stop. For those who stop because it is not profitable anymore then they are no different from commercialised products scripted for views and money purposes. Of course it is everybody's dream to be able to do what one loves and get paid for it and I do hope all youtubers get their revenue back.

This is sad and I feel a lot for them. I have tried being a youtuber and I gotta say it's a really tough business. I barely made anything there, in spite of constant promotion in different social media. It might be my niche too, since not a lot of people do dark humor, and a lot of my videos have been demonetized too recently because apparently I'm not "advertiser friendly" which is something I could understand for my content, but can't understand for those channels who don't deserve it.

To my own opinion, youtube will never die it is here to stay, and as long as it keeps amassing massive traffic, it will stay on the top.

I think CPM rates vary monthly. And they have higher rate during the seasonal time. And other times it just goes down. This makes you wonder how good is such option for making money. Random money making videos can be good. But if you are betting on it then surely not a good option at all. Some people do want to use the youtube but don't want to see ads. So there goes the profit.

I am sorry Cristian, I do own a Youtube channel and yes i wanted to get money from, but unfortunatly i didn't recived a penny because i had no traffic on my videos. In fact my Youtube channel it was a big disappointment for me.
You are right again, the best YouTubers will move to something else to get paid from their videos, many of them live from this kind of earnings!

Pardon me for asking but is that a fact that Google will bend to the wishes of traditional media? If the Youtube advertisers would pull out of YouTube then it is most likely that Google will investigate. And if the claim is true then Google can slap a sanction on those advertisers and they can be blacklisted by the largest company in the internet.

I use Adsense to earn from my blogs, however, I am not earning anything on Youtube, therefore, I am not going to be affected with this. I always felt that youtube should moderate the videos strictly so that there are no porn videos, racist videos, and videos about illegal stuff. No advertiser wants to have ads in the video that does not follow their policy. Therefore, these advertisers have rights to pull. However, youtube needs to moderate the videos so that right contents reach the consumer.
