Targeting keywords that will trigger sales so you don't waste your time and money

When it comes to online marketing you will most definitely want to target sale triggering keywords. This is due to the fact that if you're in the business to make money, you'll want to focus your time in the right areas instead of wasting hours of pointless work to not have any results. A lot of times when I'm targeting the sales triggering keywords they will either be my main short tailed keywords or a keyword that has "buy" or "purchase" in them. A good example of this would be if SEOclerks had a PPC campaign up and running and was targeting the keywords "Backlinks", "Buy Backlinks" and "Purchase Backlinks". Now when you add "Buy" and "Purchase" to the keyword "Backlinks" it will be seen as the same thing in the eyes of Google, I was just giving you examples Targeting keywords that will trigger sales so you don

If you have all the proper tracking set up on your website that shows you the path people are taking when making a sale, you can easily figure out what your sales triggering keywords actually are. You could think that they are all your shortest keywords but sometimes they can be a long tailed keyword that helps users get some additional information about your product or service.

As most of you already know, I have an SEO company that focuses on corporate accounts, but that doesn't mean I can't target the SERPs to pull in traffic. One of my main keywords that I was targeting was doing well, but I wanted to take a deep dive and track everything over the last year to see exactly how good. I figured out that it wasn't even my best performing keyword and a keywords that answered a question was my biggest closer. The keyword was something along the lines of "How does SEO help my website increase sales?" and I had an article with around 2,000 words talking about the benefits of SEO on a website Targeting keywords that will trigger sales so you don So remember to do your research when trying to figure out your closer keywords and don't just assume Targeting keywords that will trigger sales so you don

A lot of times when you do figure out your triggering keywords you'll quickly realize that you're not the only one who has. If you run a PPC campaign you'll notice that the long tailed keywords, which increase the chances of sales, will almost always cost more per click than some of your shorter tailed keywords.

How to target these sales triggering keywords
Targeting these keywords which increase your sales isn't difficult at all after you figure out exactly what they are. All you'll have to do is write up an extensive article about the keyword or hire someone to do it for you. The article must be answering a question related to the keyword if the keyword isn't a question itself lol.

Take your time on this content because it will be going on your own website and that's where the golden nuggets of content will be going to get people to sign up. Once you get the content on there you will then want some high authority links aiming at the page you just created, but not too soon because you want it to look natural. Wait until the page is indexed by the search engines and then begin to build your links. If you start building links 2 seconds after the post is live, Google and all the other search engines will know that you're doing something shady. Your article should be indexed after a few weeks and then it's time to build your high DA links aimed at your page, but go slow. Be sure to mix up your anchors and also throw in just plain URLs to mix up your link diversity. Get some nofollow links, dofollow links and some social media shares to have the biggest affect.

When it comes to PPC it will likely cost you a bit more for your sales triggering keywords but it could be worth it. Sales triggering keywords will likely convert into a sale 2x or 3x as much than a basic keyword you'd be paying 25% less per click. So if you're at least decent at math, you know that the triggering keywords are worth targeting lol.

In Conclusion:
Be sure to figure out what your sales triggering keywords are by tracking everything possible on your website. After you figure them out, target them! You can build content and set up PPC campaigns to bring in sales. It could cost you a bit of money when doing PPC but could result in a lot more sales than you expected.

Finding the right keywords that will trigger sales is pretty difficult, especially for some folks new to SEO.

I found that LSI (latent semantic indexing) keywords at usually your best bet when it comes to keywords that will trigger sales. Even though some of these keywords don't really have an average monthly search score in Google Adwords, I can assure you that many of them are hugely popular and can increase your conversion, you have to rely on your gut feeling and follow you salesman intuition sometimes, Google won't hand you on a silver platter everything!

Anyways, nice article Razzy! Thank you for the tips.

Keywords are important, however, how you use keywords and what keywords you use are also important. If you use generalized keywords, there is so much competition that your content will never be found on search engines. Therefore, you should focus on niche keywords, or long tail search term.

Well, to get the right keywords you have spend money. There are some couple of software out there and there are freelancers offering keywords as a service. I prefer the later owing to the fact that the keywords you will get are tested and known to have worked before you pay for it.

I agree that using the right keywords can increase your sales because of the proper direction that your link gets from the searchers. However, if I don’t know how to find the right keywords, I don’t think I will have the budget to hire a freelancer to do that for me because it might not be practical for a small business to spend that much. But anyway, learning the ropes is not easy but it can surely be done with perseverance.
