    Website design matters in SEO, in fact site design is a part of on page seo. On page seo is optimizing your website and contents for search engines. While doing so you will have to consider number of things, for instance
    well designed site that is use rfriendly and easy to navigate
    the proper use of keywords on the site title/description and content title, description, and body.
    Origina and unique contents.
    You see site design is as important as having unique and original content.

    From what I had read, yes, the website’s design affects the SEO of your website. I don’t know how the search engine checks on it but my idea is the layout and the menu takes priority in the evaluation. So if your menu is cluttered or nearly empty then it might earn a demerit and cause the ranking to go down. I also think the color combination and the font have an effect on the SEO of the website.

    Yes it does, most people would like a mobile friendly and fast opening page. If your site isn't made for this then you need SEO because you're losing traffic.
