Best free VPN for PC?

Hey, It's Nextant!

I just wanted to get your thoughts on VPN's. I love my VPN especially cause its free and if you are doing important stuff it gives you reliability from anything!

I've found an awesome app for my tablet called "Turbo VPN" in the android app store and I wish there was a PC version.

Any chances you guys have found a really good reliable VPN for PC?
I currently use "HotSpot shield" but it has limits and sometimes has massive problems.

I've really liked baronvpn.com when I was using them but have since switched to TorGuard They both do a great job about respecting your privacy as well as protecting it.

Not sure what to recommend as far as free options though. If I remember right, anonyvpn.com has a free plan with some limitations, but I didn't like their service or customer support quite as much.

As with most services, you'll probably always get the best product if you're willing to pay a little for it. I've always been a fan of TorGuard, but I understand if you're in a position where you can't do a monthly payment for something like this.

Check out this article from Techradar, which gives a pretty good list of free VPN options you might look into. HotSpot Shield is on the list, so just bypass that since you've already had a negative experience with it. From the looks of things, you might have luck trying either Tunnel Bear or Winscribe.

It looks like Winscribe offers 10GB of data per month, which seems like a pretty reasonable option.

I think i'll stick with hospot shield because it's free and works most of the time with no limits but it does has issues at times

Do what you think is best! The article I linked to does give you a list of 10 free VPN services that you could try if you're interested, though. I don't know if it got lost in the wording of my last post, but those VPN's don't require you to pay for them. The only paid service I mentioned was TorGuard.

I would disagree on using a free VPN but hey, it's your call and at the end of the day, you will be the one who benefits from it. Just a simple reminder though: just because a VPN is free doesn't mean you are really free to use it etc. Sometimes it also gets something from you which you may not notice.

That is a good advice that you said about paying. There is a saying that the best thing in life is free but there is the adage that says there is no free lunch anymore. I guess we have to invest something to gain quality. To be honest, I scrimp on licenses of software that I always try to find free software. But when we used the free open software for word processing instead of the Microsoft Office that has a license, the free product was very difficult to use.

Hotpot shield does opposite of what it promises.
I think they even send your log to the websites you access. Even face book blocks an account login with Hotspot shield in nothing less than two weeks.
I just hated Free vpn since but I hope to see better option from here.

I have been using hotspot shield for some time now and it has been good .but wouldn't mind having options to select from.I think this topic would also help me to have some at my finger tips.I might need them sooner than I thought.

I am using Hola on Google Chrome. This is free and works pretty well for me.

I personally make use of the zenmate VPN. And it's free plan is more than enough for my use. I have also found that the HMA and DotVPN seems to be good enough too. In such case the it seems like encryption of the data and bandwidth limits are placed on free plans. So depending on that you can choose the company. I prefer zenmate, dotvpn, hulu and few others. It's good enough for starters.

I don't really use a VPN as a sole application but I do use them as extensions on my browser. Anyway, I would recommend using TorGuard VPN. I've heard a lot of good things from that software and they also have a huge server database. I personally haven't tried it but if I get some spare change I would definitely subscribe to them. I wouldn't suggest using free VPNs unless you want your information to be floating all around the web.

Thanks for that recommendation. Such reocmmendations always come in handy. I have found that Torguard seems to be having a good pricing plans too. I don't use the desktop based VPN for daily use. But when ever I have scraping work, I make use of them. I am going to check if the torguardVPN is going to be helpful in that case. So that's added in my todo list now.

Indeed. You should definitely try it out. My friends dig it specially my colleagues. It is also good for business too. They say that the best thing about TorGuard is the number or servers they have. It's like they are if not the only one, but one of the few who has the highest number of servers. Probably more than 50,000? o.O

Thats' a lot if you ask me. I think such free services are definitely needed. I have downloaded Turbo VPN. And it seems to be one good service worth using. I may have to work on the paid plan though because that way I dont have any disconnection like free servers have. So that's why i am searching for something better.

Nothing good is free, expect you want your vital information on the web. The primary purpose of vpn is to protect your information, so I recommend you give cyberghost a try. 3dollars in two years.

I have never tried a VPN service. I would like to though as I think it might give me some additional options in terms of coverage. I have been intrigued with the idea for years so I guess it is time to do something about it! I might try on my phone first and see how it works. I do have mobile data I can use on there however.

Id Cloak is the best VPN by my sense. Every day they offer to use 250 MB VPN services. There VPN always work with free of cost. They provide three location within the USA. At paid version you will get more facilities. On the other sense for huge IP my best choice is HideMyass.com VPN.

Thanks

I will recommend paying for a VPN, if you really need strong anonymity online or you are surfing through the dark web, but if you just want to change location or low anonymity, i will suggest Betternetvpn, Betternet VPN is a strong option for those who need a powerful VPN on a small budget. Betternet is also insanely simple to use, which is why it is one of the best free VPNs. They also do not charge standard users for downloading and using their product, instead you have to watch an advertisement before you can connect to your free VPN.i have been using it for some time now, and it's cool, you can check out the free version.

I am also using free Betternet VPN that good but free VPN is limited.

Yeah, I stopped using Betternet VPN, i have migrated with ultrasurf and I can say that they are the best I have used in a long time now, and it's absolutely free, tho I really don't think it's limited. I shifted away from betternet because it is stable, it disconnects almost every damn time, I don't know if it's only me or do you experince such?.

Well, first off, I would not really advise you to use free VPN apps and Betternet VPN is not that bad as it works fine for me but it has its downsides. Moreover, here are some great free VPN apps that might just work well for you: https://www.reviewsdir.com/best-free-vpn-services/ I hope it helps.
