There is no point to Alexa rankings regarding SEO. Alexa is just a ranking, nothing else. It means nothing to search engines.

Alexa is owned by Amazon. Alexa rank shows the traffic to a site. The rank is not based on seo factor but just traffic. You can easily fake alexa rank by using traffic exchange and PTC.

To be frank about the issue, I am wondering why Alexa ranking is being connected to the search engine ranking or the SEO capability of the website. We all know that the Alexa ranking is just about the amount of traffic that a website gets and it is ranked by that number. There is no way that it can affect the SEO of the website.
