Sometimes products that have a cheaper price is tend to be unpopular in the market especially if it has no brand name or reputation that other people is looking. I believe that not all cheap products is not worth it to have, it only depends on how a certain individual uses the cheap product to make it last longer. Sometimes the worth of a certain worth is in our hands on how we use it and how we take good care of it. I would probably buy cheap products that I know would make to last longer and can be used conveniently.

Items such as clothing can cost a ridiculous amount of money just because they are from a popular brand, and yet you can find better quality clothes for an incredibly cheap price if you know where to look. Most billionaires have been quoted to say that they spend little money on food, clothes, or a lot of other things. Agree with that. Not all expensive things are worth to buy. Sometimes it's up to the consumers how to value the things, and the brand name is only the reason why the product is expensive, and not all the cheap price are less quality.

It's true. We're all conditioned to believe that higher price means better quality. Though, there is some helpful advice there. It's usually true in the sense that we can't expect cheap stuff to be as good as the expensive items.

The good thing about the expensive ones is the warranty and specially if its branded or the name is very popular. They will do everything just to fix the problem to avoid some issues that will drag their name down.

There are some cases right now in our country that the company sue the customers or filed a case against the customer by destroying their name. Because instead of consulting the customer service or service center, the customer posted the problem in social media. Because company always protecting their names.

Yeah, of course, that's what the people first priority, to look for the quality, That's why some of the consumers sometimes preferred to buy the second hands product from the well know brand rather than to bran new with unknown brand. Although the second hands is low quality also, but they trusted it.

Yes I agree on that, sometimes it is up to us on how on how we will take good care of those cheap items that we buy, since even it s very expensive and branded but then you are not taking good care of it surely it will not last longer and the worst is that it might be damage on destroyed instantly which is not really good to happen.

I definitely agree with you. Before, I also thought that branded things/expensive things are much better in terms of quality than cheaper products. However, I came to realize that that isn't always true. For example, I can buy a cheaper phone with the same specs and much better build quality compared to the famous brands. For instance, a Xiaomi Redmi 4x, it's a budget phone from China but it's a very high quality phone compared to the ones in the same price segment from Samsung and any other famous smartphone brands.

Exactly. That notion is only applicable in the past. Now, most companies try to make budget-friendly products without compromising the quality and durability of their offerings in order to meet the demands of the consumers in the budget section. That's what Chinese companies do and they make lots and lots of profit because of that.

That was once my problem tho, I'm not good with finding quality brands. Fortunately, I was able to learn about YouTube channels that do reviews about budget smartphones and they're the reason why I found out about Xiaomi. Personally, whenever I try to buy something online I try to search reviews about it on YouTube so that I'll know if it has good quality or not.

It also depends on the quality. Not all cheap things are in a low quality. Some are cheap because of what you said, "brand names". They are cheap because they are not the high-end brand name. They should lower their prices to be noticed in the market. So their quality products will be in the lowest possible price.

Although the price of the product usually indicates the quality there are products that are priced high which should not be and there are cheap products with comparable quality. But I am talking of products in some category like medicines. It is an established fact and was supported by medical practitioners that some generic drugs have the same efficacy of the branded drugs which means the cost does not matter much vis-à-vis quality.

It depends on the service or product that I want. There are some items when the cheaper alternative will serve its purpose well and can be comparable to the more expensive one even at a lower quality, but some items are simply too important to risk buying a cheaper version.

In both offline physical and online virtual products and services I always look for a good deal. I really don't opt for the cheapest retail because I know that I won't like the quality. I don't buy the most expensive too because it's not reasonable, I always go for the medium priced or reasonably priced ones. At times depending on the kind of product, there special promos like Anniversary or Christmas sales, clearance sales, closing down sales or even opening sale. Looking for promo sale items is a good way to buy branded or good products in a fraction of its retail price.

When buying coats, boots, and other expensive accessories I often wait for a sale. Who cares if I have to wait 6 months. I don't need the product ASAP, and I am able to get a price that is worth the wait. The only downside is stock; sometimes a product will be sold out before I can get it.

I don't subscribe to the "expensive is always better", because while there is some truth in that for sure, not all cheap stuff is crap and as long as you set your expectations correctly (e.g., don't expect $100 mobile phone to beat $800 mobile phone in any regard) you can find great options that will end up saving you literally hundreds of dollars!

Pricing is important to me, but it's never the main consideration - need and the way the product meets that need are far more important.

Generally speaking, you are right in using the price as the gauge for quality. However, don’t be misled by the price because there are some good that are of high quality but with a low price. Take the case of medicines, the generic medicines are now proving their worth in the market. Doctors have attested to the efficacy of the cheap generic medicines which costs less than 50% of the branded medicines. What’s the catch? The expensive medicines have spent so much for advertising and medical sales representatives not to mention the freebies that they give to doctors regularly

Whenever I'm buying something I'll always look through the reviews to see what others are saying, especially if it's something expensive lol.

Of course, if it's a digital product I won't trust the first 5 reviews because they're likely from review copies of the service or product. These are the reviews that are essentially paid for and are biased to the product or service regardless of how good it is and if it actually works

As for something like clothing, I won't spend a lot on it because I know how much fabric costs, and I have no intention of paying $150+ for a sweater with a designer logo on it haha. I'll buy something if it's comfortable, and usually, I can find something for me under $50 no matter if I'm looking for a hoodie, sweatpants, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. I'll never pay more than $25 for a shirt because that's insane haha. I don't care how much money I make, I'm not paying for something that has an insane markup just because others have done it and say it's great.

I think it depends on the type of service that you are offering. Some of the time you have to offer the right set of the service. And based on what you offer your clients should have to adjust with that. I think price should be no issue if the client knows what he wants.

I said no to some of the clients. They were asking me to reduce the rate. And they were demanding lot of things like increase in followers which don't drop etc etc. And that was not something genuine. So I think it's always better to say no if you are seeing that buyer is asking something out of your league.

In my opinion, it's a matter of knowing what you purchase. I had a friend that only uses pictures and ratings in purchasing an item online and he had more bad experiences that good ones. I have a more successful experience in purchasing specially online, mainly because i know what i buy. I usually study first what i need to purchase from specifications, details, value, ratings to manufacturer. This way you can be sure that what you buy is what you get. There's always a thin line between quality and price, knowing what you are purchasing will definitely help you if your item is worth it.

I always have this feeling that the prices of some items are quite deceptive and a ploy by the sellers of those products to make more gains. They always paint the product as the best and one that you can't do without while in reality, there are other better cheap alternatives in the market. So, what I really check out is whether the product is going to proffer solutions to my needs. The price is secondary to that choice.

It really depends on the product or service, sometimes there's a really great item which is on clearance, and this is considered a good buy since one can save up to 80?.

I bought a Computer Monitor once half priced only because it's box is stained with some paint. So whenever I go to shop some items, I ask around for their clearance sale and discounted items.

Well, I can't choose for now but I will have to mention that all high quality items are expensive but not all low quality items are cheap. Sometimes you have to use a lower quality for to be able to identify the one with high quality. With regards to your question I think the you should take a look first at the quality before the price. For example when you are about to buy a smartphone, you should watch first online reviews, durability and performance tests before buying one. When the quality is good and the price is high, I think you should buy the product. It will still be worth buying because the product will last longer. Of course when the products that are of high quality are cheap, then it will be a plus. Treat these as a bonus for you.
In my opinion we should not take the risk of buying cheaper products that won't last long. In the end, once that certain product gets broken or becomes faulty, you will be forced to buy a new one, which will cost much compared with you buying the expensive ones that are of high quality.

Expensive things have got quality while cheap things have quantity, the income you have budgeted on spending determines either you going for expensive or the cheap things, there are sometimes the allowances don't get to be enough to get those things with qualities rather it can only buy you quantities that you can manage for the time being. I do get to do both depending on the finances at hand, they are both good if you see the good aspect of it, there is a satisfiable consumer gain from them both.

Price isn't an accurate indicator of quality, because you never know how much of the price is actually profit. Anytime you buy a product you take a chance that it will suck, but through trial and error you cam find good products and brands. Even if a more expensive product is better, sometimes you don't need the best quality product, you just need something to get the job done, so that is also factor in shopping. I rarely buy expensive products (I'm too poor

). I tend to buy moderate or cheap products, depending on what it is.

When I buy something, pricing is one of my considerations. However, I also care about quality. Generally speaking, I will always compare the quality with pricing. I never go after cheap products, I will also look for quality. I will also never go after high-quality product, I will also see how much I have to pay. I think it is only up to us if what choices are we going to use because we have different standards and unique preferences. It is not bad to buy cheap products if we are in a tight budget but we must just be cautious in buying low products because sometimes those cheap products are the ones that easily get damage or easily broken but not all products are with the same features maybe there are some of them. You have to find the perfect balance for this. If you think what you will be buying should last you for a long time, you should go for quality or expensive items. If the product you are going to buy is something that only needs to last a week or a few months, then you can go for cheap ones because they have no guarantee to last long. If you somehow find a product that is both cheap and of high quality, you've got a great find and you should always buy those.

Mostly we can find cheap products in the market which sometimes are a fake items that are being smuggled from a certain country. It is just very sad to know that fake products now a days are everywhere and mostly we can see it in its price. But not all cheap products are fake maybe there are just some of them. As true as this is in many cases, we also have to prevent ourselves from always believing that more expensive means better quality. While more expensive items typically are made of better material, it doesn't always apply, and some companies will use shifty tactics on seemingly quality products.

Beats by Dre are a notorious example of this. Those headphones are incredibly overpriced for the quality that you're getting, but most people don't assume that is the case because Dr. Dre is a famous producer. They think if he's selling headphones for a high price, they must be great, but…they're not.

I've had both experiences, cheap items that have acceptable quality, and expensive ones that last for couple days. So personally, I rather read online reviews of the product, or experiences with it before buying it. Of course, my favorite choice is to take an up close look to the merchandise, but that's not possible all the time, so I suggest you guys to get some kind of warranty just in case, and be prepared.

I think that in general, if it is something that I can realistically purchase within my budget, I'm more inclined to go with expensive. Some people choose to buy expensive items because they consider them luxurious or utilize them as a status symbol, but that isn't why I choose to buy expensive items. The simple reason is that I feel if I buy the more expensive item, I'm saving money in the long run. It is a matter of long term investment. Cheap items are going to be made from cheap materials, so odds are that if you pay a little bit more, you'll have a more durable item that outlives several models of the cheap one.

Here's my take on this. Buy cheap items that you won't use often. Buy expensive when you will use it for a very long time, especially if it will affect your health or life quality. You should buy expensive variants of things like your bed, pillow, blanket, backpack, computer chair, etc. You get the point. Invest in products that you'll be spending most of your life with.

It all depends on the product to the product. Some products are very expensive only because of their brand, name or popularity. Perhaps, by quality, they are worth much less, but they are more expensive precisely because of such things. It's okay to buy something more expensive if it's good quality and it will last much longer than some cheap stuff. And whether there is something better quality or worse, you need to evaluate it yourself. Because more expensive it does not always have to be better.

That's true. I think there are a lot of clothes in the market being sold at cheap price but can be turned into an expensive one. I have a lot of friends who wore expensive-looks outfit but it is just actually a cheap one. It depends on people on how they will handle their selves in fashion clothing.

This is the very practical way, to make look expensive the simple clothes. Honestly, when I was working near the cubao area in our country, I used to go to the used clothes shop, to buy pants. I really fascinated to the old pants, Look old much better for me.

I don't equate quality with price because real life experiences tell me they don't necessarily go together. Even if I do have the means to buy whatever I want, I don't think I'll buy something just because it has the highest price tag. There are several factors that go into pricing and some of then include intangibles that buyers will never benefit from. I don't want my money to pay for those stuff. I want to get the most out of my money so I always do considerable research before buying high-ticket items. I'm also willing to compromise in some areas if that will mean huge savings. High quality phones, for example, costs so much when they are just being introduced to the market. I can wait awhile to see the euphoria die down before buying one for myself, if I really like one.

I think it depends on the situations or kind of product. Sometimes the quality of product is just almost the same but the brand of suppliers are having a gap when it comes to a very well known source. Sometimes the price of the product is depending on their brand and not always in the quality because for me everything can be helpful and useful if you care about your things and you know how to handle it with care.

I agree, it may be because of the materials and the value of skills used on the product. But having said that, there are products that seems to be costly because of the brand name. It maybe because of the integrity and the extent of quality through external certifications of the product.

Although these products are well known and highly recommended. There are products that are still very high in quality but with a lower cost. One example is phones, usually the components of these products are basically the same in function and probably being used in every phone. But when the product is finished, the price differs because of branding.

I think it really depends on the quality because there are products who are very expensive that does not have a good quality and there are cheap products that have a very good quality. Price does not indicate superiority, quality does. I have a lot of experienced buying toys for my little brother that is very expensive but is very brittle. There are also times I bought cheap ones but has very good quality.

I agree, it all depends on how you know the product you are buying. Also reading the labels is a great way to know the products specially the material used and the quality it's been through. Some products differ on the materials like plastics. I found out that there are many kinds of plastics and everyone of them has different quality. The certificates and seal of quality is also one of the reasons why most products are expensive. But if these products had gone through these standards, you can be sure of the quality and safety.

I think it's really hard to consider the quality or price if you buying toys for kids, it's all depends on how the kids going to handle or play the toys, the more he likes or favorite the toys, the more it's easily to broke, even it's expensive or not.

For me, it's not about how cheap or expensive the things are. As long as it's useful and it has a right quality based on its price I will consider it. I always buy things and services that has a good reason behind its price. We should not buy just because it was on trend or because of the brand name. Always consider a products or service with a good and high quality.

I'm actually pretty good at detecting stuff like that. It's easy to spot the fake reviews that only mean to advertise stuff.

Genuine reviews often included the cons aside from the pros. Also, they're not overly hyped about it. Even when the product is amazing, they don't go on talking like an infomercial.

I do that as well. But I can't depend on most people. I like searching for new products. So I end up researching it myself before buying. At least, I'm 100% sure whenever I purchase stuff online.

Refunding is kind of difficult. Honestly, I'd rather ensure that my purchase is far from being unsatisfactory. I'm okay with realizing it's a bit more expensive than other stuff. As long as the quality is great, I'm happy with it.

Me too. I always check the price and compare with other sellers. Sometimes the product is sold at a much cheaper price but without compromising its quality. I'm glad whenever that happens. It's a steal!

If you don't have that much problem financially, why not chose buying expensive things for quality assurance?
Anyway, like what you've said, not all cheap in price are low in quality. Yes, that is right, if you are a thrifty kind of person, first thing you will do before purchasing a thing is a research. Being a wise a consumer is great! But if you think that there are no alternatives to the product you want to purchase, then you won't have any choice but buy the expensive one or suffer for the low quality of the cheaper goods.

People always like to say “You get what you pay for.” Usually, they apply that to mean if you buy cheap stuff it probably won't be any good. But I disagree. The Bible says “A virtuous woman always looks for a bargain.” You don't always have to pay an arm and a leg for something of good value. If I see a price I think is too expensive, I always hunt for a bargain first. I have no problems with saying the word CHEAP! LOL.

General speaking when it comes of purchasing,first thing that we have to check it first is the price. When the price is cheap thats a good deal but how about the quality? People always think how much we can save but let us think how long that item will it last? How that it taste? What am I pointing out here is We should see the quality first rather than the price. Not bad to save money but do you think it is worth buying the substandard product?

Not all cheap products means low quality. Some cheap products are on par with expensive one. What make a product expensive is not only the quality but the brand itself. Popular brand means more expensive products. I have already tried to buy expensive things but it get broken easily unlike some cheap products that I bought where in I use them for years but still intact.

Yes, that's true not all cheap products means that it has low quality though it basically made up of low materials that makes it very cheap but sometimes cheap products becomes look like expensive when people have a great skill using these cheap products. Good example is clothing, there are certainly a lot of cheap clothes out there but if you know how to wear it decently then no one knows it is cheap. Therefore, it all depends on the beholder. I really believe on that.

It depends in the marketplace. There are reputable brands that are on sale on a limited time. If it's cheap, you should know how to check the item and why it's cheap and if it's authentic, not fake. If I'm no a budget, I'll choose cheap but I'll first study and check the reviews of the item and if it's worth the money. You can also try to check in Youtube or Benchmark and compare it on the more expensive one.

Yes that is really true, we need cheap things for us to have more savings. We can really use some coupons for us to have some discounts for items that we will purchase. It is not bad to buy cheap products as long we are not compromising the quality of the items that we are going buy and as well as our health since there are some cheap products that are not good to our health and most of these are the Chinese products which is full of chemicals that can cause some harmful effects to our health.

Me too. Pricey things tend to be more durable than cheap stuff. That's why many of us spend a lot of money on things. We're getting what we paid for. It's really how things work. You can't expect good quality for very cheap products.

Most of the time I would go for the expensive items so that I can be sure that it has a good quality which one of the most important thing that we are looking when we are buying some items to some stores. I may have to expense more but It is alright with me as long as it is worth the price. Most genuine products really comes to an expensive price which makes it more interesting to have.

I think I will rather go for a cheap product than going for an expensive one. All cheap products are not bad in quality. And I guess all expensive products may not be that useful or of a very good quality when compared to there price. most of the times a cheap product can give you complete returns on your money and prove to be much more useful than the expensive ones. I think its much better to go for multiple cheap products than going for a single expensive product. this way you have a lot of options and it is more likely that some of the cheap products are of a decent quality. if however, the expensive product is not worth the price paid for it then you will always suffer a considerable loss due to buying it

Well for me it only depends on my standing, if I have more money then I prefer the expensive items because I believe in their quality but if I don't have much penny then I usually choose cheaper products so that I can budget my few penny in my pocket. This is mostly the scenario that I am always experiencing whenever I go shopping or if I want to buy something that I really need.
