Rebranding your company can help you more than your current image

The image of your company is everything when it comes to the first experience someone has when they land on your pages. You'll be judged right away, and your design as well as how you carry yourself on your pages will be what brands you, so you need to make every single decision with care. Another thing you need to remember is that your off page content will track back to you, and depending on how angry or happy you are, that will boost or drop your authority. Of course, you'll always want to be seen in a great light and never a bad one, so you should probably be careful what you say off of your website where everyone can see and read it Rebranding your company can help you more than your current image

Your brand could be getting stale, which means you need to think of a rebrand, and this can be scary for anyone who hasn't done it in the past. Yes, it takes a bit of work to do this because you'll have to pay for some design things as well as physical materials if you have them.

Below are a few things to think of when you go through your rebranding process.

Rebranding is more than just a logo change
A lot of people think they can just pay a designer to make a new log from them, upload it to their website, and that's it! If you think that's all it takes, you're in for a rude awakening lol. Rebranding a website, or a business, take a bit of time and effort to put all the pieces in place and then rip them apart to redesign everything for the rebrand.

Some people never want to go through the process of rebranding because they've become too attached to what they put together in the first place. I'm pleading with you, don't get attached to a design or an image you had made or created yourself because that could just hold you back. You're running a business, you're not supposed to get attached to some piece of code that shows an image on a website.

Anyway, when you rebrand your website or business you'll essentially be doing an overhaul on everything that shows your images. This is much more than your logo, and even if you're just changing your logo, you'll need to change all your advertising materials that may show the old version.

Any advertising material needs to be redone
A lot of freelancers and digital marketers don't really run into this stage when they start to rebrand because a lot of us don't have physical materials that we hand out. I've done a couple rebrands and it does take a bit of time just to get the website side of things done. The business side of things, the parts with your advertising materials, will be delayed until you get new logos and designs yup and running since you need everything online done before you can do the physical materials. Now, I'm sure some of you are saying "I can do both at the same time!" and I'm going to tell you that you're being ridiculous and you're just going to run into problems because something is going to get rushed.

Take your time and get your website in line before you start to print new advertising materials, business cards, flyers, etc. You can thank me later!

Your authority will likely be boosted
When you have a decent sized following and go through a rebrand, people will see you as evolving your company because you're becoming more successful. Your following will be re-energized and they will come back to you more than they were before. Your authority will be boosted simply by you looking more professional and modern, which is what people want to see.

Think of it this way, how many times have you landed on a templated website and left pretty quick? You leave because it's an outdated design that hasn't been updated or rebranded!

In conclusion
A rebrand will always take time and can never be rushed, so be sure you have everything in order before you even start it. Get your website and social profiles rebranded before you do any physical materials done, simply because you wouldn't build the roof of your house before the foundation is in place Rebranding your company can help you more than your current image

Rebranding is actually good move for improving business, sometimes new, fresh look of website designs, improved logos and video presentations can boost business, sales or web traffic. Recently i just done it for one of my websites and it really made big difference, specially with new premium wordpress theme and re-design. People somehow become more interesting and engaging, so i feel good that my decision of some sort of re-branding was right.

I love what you said about being willing to let go, and not let graphics or other things you've been attached to hold you back. I think that's so important - a lot of the time I think people are too sentimental about things and it can be to the detriment of their business.

When you say rebranding, does it mean enhancing the image and not changing anything about the product or service? I used to have a boutique and someone suggested to enhance the look of my boutique. Aside from the new paint, we also installed a new billboard and signage plus the glass door that looked elegant. But inside, nothing had changed although we added more products. That's how I understand rebranding. Correct me if I'm wrong on my assumption.

That's what I think when I think of rebranding. Usually changes to a logo, upgrades to a website, and different ways of "branding" or promoting the company or organization, rather than any changes to the product range or service set themselves.

Rebranding could really help your image as a company, but you should only do this if you have adequately assessed that it's the right way to go and your current company would no longer benefit from your current image and strategies. It's very expensive and can alienate part of your user base when doing such action, but it can help save a company from the brink of being a failure when done right.

Yeah, I do think rebranding is the solution for rebooting ones company but this can be done effectively if there's a significant change or improvement on ones products or services. Rebranding without something new or without major changes would not be effective.

Rebranding in business is always an important step that should be taking by companies no matter how successful they claim to be. The reason is simply that you can never get to fully understand the the benefits unless you notice the change of attitudes in your clients when you get it wrong. So, taking good decision as regards rebranding will go a long in sending a positive message to everyone that loves what you do.

Rebranding has its downside too that can mean a regression from the present status. I don’t remember big companies doing a rebranding unless there is a cause for it. Take for instance Coke which remained with its logo, bottle and other designs for a long time until the competition was heating up. That was the time that Coke had launched a rebranding campaign. If you remember the ad “It’s the real thing” that was published in the 1960s, it was the rebranding of Coke that fortunately had succeeded.
