YAPAS: Yet Another Post About Success

Another member in this forum shared a post in 2017 titled:
THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, RIGHT?

A very enjoyable read and the answer to the question is obvious. YES!

Are you a success? Do you plan to be successful? Sure you've heard every tip, every trick, and every little bit of advice provided by experts and non-experts. Talking about success is almost the same as writing love songs. Does the world ever have enough love songs? NO. Can there ever be too much advice about becoming successful? NO. So here's my two cents worth of success tips.

YAPAS: Yet Another Post About Success

In this life, there is no 100% guarantee when you decide to undertake any task that it will get done. But one thing in this life is 100% certain. “Nothing from nothing leaves nothing!” If you don't do anything, you won't succeed in accomplishing anything. It takes absolutely no effort to accomplish NOTHING!

That being said, if your goal is to be successful working online (or at anything you choose to do) and someone asked what do you need in order to achieve to make it in the online world, how would you respond?

This is my answer.

1. Inspire yourself. (You need to dream!)
2. YOU NEED A PLAN! (You need a way to make the dream a reality.)
3. Teach yourself. (If you don't how to … LEARN!)
4. Motivate yourself. (Do or die! It's all on you!)
5. Don't step on others. (“Do unto others as __________.” Fill in the blank.)

Great. There's one commonplace desire for every person regardless of who you're or what you do for a living. that is to become successful in life. So we seek the great viable approaches on the way to turn out to be successful in life. That is very thrilling due to the fact everybody has their personal interpretation of success. A person will desire to be financially wealthy. Others will want to acquire their aim as the great motivational speaker.

Everyone wanted to be successful. Whether you are poor or rich you have the same goal which is to succeed. I believe that it is much easier to the rich people to become rich. They have advantage and resources to use compared to the poor people. They need to strive everyday in order to reach their dreams.

True. Having money will give you some advantages for sure, and also that can help you saving some time. However, if you don't have good head for business, or if you don't put some effort and dedication on it, you can either lose way more money than the expected, or you can go down to bankruptcy. So, you can be rich but you can't make money while sleeping if you don't do your job.

That is right. Rich people are easy to invest and put some business because they are financial stable unlike poor people they have no capital to start the business that they want to start. Some people are lending to the bank and other lending company just to begin their business.

You are right with the kind of success that is on a case to case basis. Success is generally about the money or earnings but there are other kinds that I prefer to be happy with my career or business. Being happy means contented with what I have so that even if I work as a janitor with a small salary but income is more than enough for me and that I can even have luxury then that is success.

Thanks for sharing this. It can help to inspire, motivate and guide someone to success. You are right, there's a lot of tips and advice about keys to success and it will never be enough. However, if you really want to be successful in this life, you have to have to learn to include God in everything you do. Just as the scripture says in Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths."

Yes, I agree with you. In everything we do, put God at the center. He will always gives guidance and enlightenment in what our heart desires. Our plan is not His plan. We need to pray and asked sincerely. He knows what is best for us.

You need to be willing to learn how something is done before you get started. Sure you could have all the passion there is and the drive but without the right knowledge, you'll probably waste your time.

I've noticed how lots of people enthusiastically take a stab at affiliate marketing. Most of them fail to make any money because they don't know how to do it right.

To succeed at anything don't try to wing it and hope for the best. Find out how others made it. Use what you've learned and it will guarantee, at the very least, some success.

I love how you really emphasized that it's not a good idea to go into something blind, even if you do have all the passion in the world. Educating yourself so that you don't go making simple mistakes is a huge thing, and learning about your competitors in the field (and their successes and failures) can do a lot to make your own business life much easier.

I agree. Learning should be the first thing that a person should do.in order to be successful. You should know first the all around of the business or work you want to pursue so that you can make the best of it. Gaining ideas from other successful people is also a good idea to be successful.

This will most certainly give you an edge over the competition. That is because you'll get valuable information from your competitors refine it and use it build something that is just as successful. If something works for someone else you could use and it can work for you too as well.

In addition, one can avoid making losses or wasting time if only they take a little time, for example, to learn which marketing strategies don't work.

That is what I have learned from my parents. They worked first as an employee and learn some strategies and skills about the business. Now, they have their own brand name of their business and they are further expanding it for their success. Truly, using your experiences and learnings will help you to be successful.

Agree, besides all the good ideas, you need to have the required tools to achieve your goal. So that way, when ups and downs hit you, you can be prepared to face them. Education is the best weapon someone should invest in. Besides that, all the dedication you can add is more that needed too.

I've heard something similar before: "fake it till you make it."

Telling yourself you are successful can motivate you to work harder but it can also be the reason you get complacent which would in turn make it impossible for you to make any progress. This is why it is important to have a definite plan and goals. A road map of sorts which points out the destination you want to get to and then it will be up to you to determine the best route you'll use to get there.

I don’t consider myself a success yet, but I have made the decision to be.I think this is the most important part about success. The one decision as Tony Robbins says,will change everything, you change your actions(i.e how hard you are willing to work, learning any skills you have to learn, writing your goals, going through and achieving your goals e.t.c). Most people ignore their mental attitude and concentrate on actions. I agree with the saying attitude determines your altitude.

I’ve heard a lot about Tony Robbins as a motivational speaker. I think he has a way of connecting with people for them to realize their potential. I really do need to look up some of his talks and see what I think of him.

He is great, however everyone is different and has unique learning styles. He is not the best fit for everybody. He swears lots and that turns a few people off. However I really like watching him and I'm full of gratitude for all of the good he does on this world and he motivates me greater than everybody.

Talks about how to achieve success is everywhere. Well, it really is very easy to visualize a plan on how to achieve it. But sticking to your plan and executing it well based on how you perceive is not an easy thing to do. You may be disappointed in many cases, but the important thing is to never give up.

Execution is always the worse thing that can happen and this is where I don't really enjoy being part of things like this. I believe that we should always look out on the ways that we can improve and ensure that when plan to do things, we should work on getting those things done for us as well.

The honest truth is that at a particular time, we should be looking at teaching ourselves. You can't really make this happen unless you are looking at making it to work. There are different ways that we can teach ourselves and one of them is to continue to do the things that is good for our business.

It's a big help when there's someone who could show you what you needed to do with your business to become successful. Learning it just by yourself sometimes takes time. Most successful entrepreneur has a role model that they look up to or follow.

That's true. In fact, when I first started trying to work online I found one success story that made me dare myself to at least try. Had to start somewhere. Right? Then I found another success story of someone else that made me dare myself to continue on and keep on keeping on, no matter if a plan fails. Just try another plan.

It is true that the road to success is always under construction. That's why taking that road is hard and only few could manage to pass through. Taking the road to success is really difficult if you are doing it for the first time and you do it by yourself. Having someone who could lead you to the right path increases the chance of reaching your destination. A mentor, who was been already in the place that you wanted to go, could somehow help you achieve success. As long as you are ready to listen and do what your mentor tells you to do, you'll have a greater chance of reaching your success.

On MTV (a cable TV channel) they used to have a TV show called “Driven”. It was about celebrities who made it and WHY they made it. They made it because they were driven to succeed. That was the point being made when shining a spotlight on each of these celebrities. They got up each day and drove themselves to achieve success.

A lot of the time we think celebrities are an overnight success, but for so many of them they have slogged away at their craft for years, whether it's acting, singing, artwork...they've often done a bunch of work behind the scenes that the average world just doesn't know about. That MTV show sounds really interesting - I'm going to see if I can watch it online.

Yes, that is very true, the road to success is always under construction. I think that it's always better to try and do your best to achieve your goals in your life. If you don't set targets and goals for yourself then you are very likely to lose focus and interest in whatever you do. There is no use in sitting idle and doing nothing and blame your circumstances or people around you for your failures. it's always good to focus on whatever you have and try your best to realize your full potential in whatever you do.

It's far pretty true that the road to happiness is always under construction. Construction on this context is a metaphor, it approach we continually need to work diligently to create happiness for ourselves. Happiness is the fruit of righteous deeds. So, if we desire to be successful, we have to pay heed to our actions.

Don't step on others. Such a powerful advice. I think the way life works. Karma always comes back. And things change with the success of the life. I have seen that if we become more consistent about our own success and help others. We tend to grow in the process too. It just takes a lot more time than people can anticipate as well. This lady has passed away but in her day she was a music icon and legend. Her name is Lena Horne. You know how you sometimes admire people until you listen to them in an interview and their personality just does not line up with the image and attitude of “niceness” that you thought they had. You get disappointed the celebrity image does not equal the real-life image. Well, I'm happy to say Ms. Horne did not disappoint me in that way. I was listening to her responses during an interview and the interviewer asked her what advice would she give to others who wanted to be successful. Her response was so down-to-earth that it surprised me. She said: "Uuhh … don't be nasty to people.” That answer can't possibly be misinterpreted. The meaning is plain.

I think that's a really important piece of advice. Success is wonderful, but it's not a great thing if you're having to stomp on others to work your way to the top. Also, I think you've got to remember that even if you're at the top of your game, you can fall from grace in a second - and no one will be there to help pick you up if you've treated them poorly on your ascent.

Success without people is like having treasure in desert. Nobody to spend on. Nobody to work with. And all you have is treasure. So one has to understand the limits of the success. So always have people around that can show you some value on the people skills. Being good to people is the success in itself.

It’s just like saying that the biggest room is the room for improvement. Truly the road to success is usually like a path that is thorny and stony but sometimes it is paved and nice to walk on. What we need are 2 things to reach success and those are patience and perseverance. Patience is a trait that you should not get fed up while perseverance is the motivation that you use to go on with what you are doing.

All the points you made are incredibly important, but I find that the two most significant ones are to have a plan and to motivate yourself. Without a plan, you can’t really expect to end up anywhere good.

I always use the simile of the “road trip.” When you get in a car to go somewhere, you have to have a destination in mind. If you drive aimlessly, you might end up somewhere okay, but you’ll most likely just get lost. The same goes for life. You need to have a plan, a road map to follow on your goals towards success.

Sure you might have to take some unexpected detours, but it’s vital that you have a destination in mind.

I totally agree! Being successful does not come overnight and requires effort and patience to be able to reach that top. I'm a newbie in this kind of field and I'm so amazed that some people earn a lot while staying at home. I wanted to be like them because I have three sons to take care every day. I realized that it is not as easy as I know. The first step is I have to complete all the required requirements to be a freelancer, next is create an account in a different website, find your talent, prepare your resume, and practice different tools in a website.

Yes, I do agree with you. Sometimes I do have a hard time inspiring myself but I do always have a plan. Or at least try to. When I have a plan, my freelancing just seems to run that much smoother.
And goals are huge for me. I know that in order for me to be successful, I need to work on my goals and strive to achieve them each and every day!
