Taking advantage of Truecaller application

Technology gets better by the day with lots of applications that are designed for several specific purposes. If you haven't heard about the application called Truecaller, I suggest that you go to either Google play store or Apple store and download it.

The Truecaller application helps you identify the owners of phone numbers harassing you and it can help you block the particular number from ever contacting you both through calls and text messages.

Applications like these are great because they often let you know who is calling, even when you don't have the number saved on your phone. Still, they are not 100% reliable. There are times these apps will ask you to volunteer information of a contact they don't have on their database. This is because they rely on personal info gotten from the phones of their users to be able to deliver their services. So you should know that by using such apps, you are giving away your contact info as well as the contact information of those on your contact list.

I never knew about this fact. I never knew that when you use them you are guving yourself away to them. They use your information too.

Truecaller comes in handy at times. Nobody can hide in his world. Truecaller has you covered. So take care and not harass anybody.

The app shows the identity of those that you never saved their numbers and that is a good factor of the app. I have been making use of it and believe me, it is a good app to use.

When someone harasses me (send me messages or drop calls), all I do is block their number, problem solved. No need to find out who they might be as I don't like wasting my time haha!

I haven't used this app before. But, if it's really this good, then, I would be considering this in the future.

The Truecaller app has been nice to many of us as this is a way to detect who owns a number and all that. I have found it to be encouraging to many of us which makes it all the perfect time when you are also trying to put some things under control. I believe that it is an amazing app for anyone that is ready to make things work.

Wow that particular app is very amazing, it is my first time to hear such wonderful app and I have not tried it. The features of it is very useful and very unique since I had never heard something like that to other app that I have tried before. I would surely look at it at the google play store and give it a try since I know it can helps me a lot.

I haven't heard if this application before. But, wow! I think this is very amazing and useful. Well, I think that it won't really identify all of the users of numbers, but I think it would lessen the rate of harassment on the phone.

Never heard this app before. Good thing you post it in this website, i might try this one of this days. I think it is good for security and you would know the identity of your caller.

While the true caller application can help you block most of the people who may want to harass you, it won't keep you completely safe from these people. If they have your phone number then there is a high probability that they know how they can reach you through some other means and still retain their anonymity. There is social media (real easy to create a fake account on any of the sites), email or even snail mail.

Nonetheless, it's a great app to have on your phone.

Hadn't heard of it but it sure sounds useful in identifying scam callers and so forth. In this day and age that seems to be a common occurrence where people will cold-call others and try to get details or money...it would certainly help many people avoid that, I think.

That's a great application... Didn't know such things exist. I'm going to go right away and download it from Google play store.
It's so annoying to receive random phone calls, and to tell you the truth, I'm scared to do so as well. In my case, anonymous numbers carry ill news for me, always.

I'm sure it will not work from where I am. Most of the people here do not have registered (postpaid) numbers and use prepaid ones because it's convenient. But I'll give it a try and see how it goes. Thanks, man!

I am not familiar with Truecaller application. This is my first orientation. I find it interesting and useful to install in phone device to see the identity of intruder. I wanna know if Donald duck calls me. Kidding aside, it's best not to give your personal numbers to everyone else to avoid hassle and disturbance. I don't answer calls or response to text message when I don't know it. I just ignore it. Thank you for sharing this information. I am glad to know.

This sounds legit but just be aware that once you're using the app, your information could also leak or be at risk. Did you ever wonder where did they get these names with unknown numbers? It's from their database which comes from other users who has the app. They might have other sources but don't rely much on these kinds of apps. They might not be accurate.

Yeah, I concur with you totally. I personally don't have a fear of any information leaking, because I don't have much to hide. However, I simply wouldn't like that out of principal. Privacy is extremely important. I personally never use apps that require to fill out a lot of personaly information. Safety and privacy are paramount.

Since the time I had my first mobile phone, I haven't been harassed by a caller. I mean why would I be harassed in the first place? I think that this app works best with postpaid numbers and not with prepaid ones. How can they know the name of the caller if a prepaid sim is being used.

We cannot stop fraudsters, specially what they do they just invent numbers and send messages, lucky for them if you answer back and got what they need, unlucky for you if you believe with those trap. What I usually do, if its a new number called me i tried to answer it because I cannot tell if its important or not, but if they talk about nonsense at all, I just block them on my phone and they never bothered me anymore.

I rarely if ever answer unknown numbers myself. If I’m expecting someone to call me I’ve usually got their number already!

I think it was only possible if the user of that number is using a postpaid plan. But I don't think people who will do bad things will not use their personal number to those kind of activities. The first thing that they will do is to hide their identity. Caller id can also be possible if they are using landline. But for those people use prepaid plan, it's so hard to identify them.

Well, I have heard of the Truecaller app but have never used it till now. Anytime I face such a problem of an unidentified person who is calling me continuously I immediately block the phone number. Although such prank calls have rarely occurred with me I do understand that it can be a very big problem for others who face it. However, I think that I would not trust an app or website which may be able to get a direct access to my contacts and calls and would prefer to stay away from it unless I have no other alternative available to me.

This is quite useful, I think a friend of mine uses this app. Also a good way to avoid people from harassing you or sending unwelcome messages is to only give trusted people your personal number. I use two numbers, one I use for family and close friends and the others I use for business contacts and such.

I didn’t know that there is an app like this and this will change the landscape of the phone calls. When there was no cell phone yet and the landline has no caller ID, there were so many prank calls that are truly annoying. But when the caller ID device became in fashion, gone are the pestering calls because they can be identified. This app Truecaller is very helpful to me because it can even block a caller on my phone.

I love truecaller because it helps me weed out spam. My service provider seems to delight in spamming me as they call every single day in order to advertise. They have also become very adaptive because whenever I mark a number on truecaller as spam, a week later they're using another line. In order, not to get frustrated and throw my phone against a wall (trust me, I've thought about it), I see it as a game we play
