Well, I've been using PayPal since about 2 years now, and I've had no issues so far. As long as you keep using your account, according to the rules, you will have no problem at all. Most of the inconvenients, come when you try to do something that is not allowed, like using your personal account like a business one or viceversa. So, I strongly suggest you to read all the statements about how to use it properly, and enjoy your virtual account.

I agree with you. PayPal will not give you a hard time just as long as you follow the rules. Don't try to attempt something that you're not sure of and just read the terms of conditions, and understand them.

I agree, it's got a high trust rating, it's efficient and user friendly and it's available worldwide, except for some countries which PayPal banned because a lot of users from those countries tried to hack PayPal or used PayPal in scams years ago.

PayPal is safe, you just need to be careful about where you enter your credentials and who you give it to. Don't worry too much about it. A lot have used it for years with no problems! Although I do know someone who had an issue with PayPal, something about his credentials I'm not sure. But I'm sure you'll be fine!

Just get your account verified first. So that limits would be higher and you get more benefits. Just be careful in attaching bank accounts and cards, everything must tally like full names and addresses.

I think he made his PayPal when he was still a minor and didn't put his real age, and when he was finally of age and verified his account that's when he got banned. He mentioned it was something like that I wasn't really paying attention to him that time because I was busy writing Do you trust in PayPal? Is it safe?

Yep, I've been using it lately too and it's working good, however I've heard that there's something called Payoneer which is somewhat like a PayPay but have low fees, what are your thoughts about that?

I agree with the rest of friends here. Paypal, is one of the safest payment processor. It's a legitimate company. I don't experience any hassle in receiving and transferring funds. Except, it takes a longer period of time to wait before the money will be transferred in bank accounts. This is the only concerned I experienced. I am hoping, I will not encounter any problem in the future.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Alymae
True. This is one of my concerns too. It takes three days before I received it in my bank account. It should be faster. My other concern is that they should respond faster to issues. When I had a problem, they keep telling me to wait for their call or stay on the line and then they would say that I need to call another number because they have a different person in charge. It is frustrating. At the same time, I also like that they are strict.

Use gcash, through their app access Cash-In then Remittances then PayPal then withdraw. It takes 2 seconds to transfer PayPal money to gcash then you can withdraw in any ATM.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

knnon
You can then transfer money in your gcash for free to any bank in the Philippines! Free service is win! If you withdraw using gcash you'll get charged 20 for every 1000, but if you transfer your gcash to your bank account you won't get charged. Money withdrawn from your own bank's ATM is usually free, the highest charge is only 10 for each transaction. It's still cheaper than withdrawing from gcash which is 20 for every 1000.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Kakashi2020
If you're transferring funds to your savings account from PayPal depending on the bank, it could take between 3 hours to 3 days. Plus you have to pay a $5 fee at most. But if you use a debit card like Gcash and request it via Gcash it takes 2 seconds.

I've been using Paypal for more than 3 years now and I haven't experience in problem with it so far. It his the payment processor I use every time I purchase online. It is safe but you just have to be cautious when using it. Use it only to purchase on reliable websites. Check the url first of the website where you are going to enter your Paypal account to make sure that it is the official website to prevent from phishing.

I've been using Paypal for almost a year now. I can say that I trust Paypal. It is a very well-known site and has lots of stores connected to it. I also like that they solved problems or issues well.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I wish they would have 24/7 chat support. It would make reaching them and solving some questions or issues easier. My only comment with PayPal is that they have poor customer support in the sense that it takes too long for them to answer queries.

I think to some extent paypal can be said for accepting money. But if you want to accept money through paypal as a business. You are going to have issues when paypal blocks your money and account. That is one reason many people are using the payoneer and the stripe. Because those are payment gateway. And considering business have refunds and the issues, those are handled by the stripe and other payment gateways better. Paypal is only good for accepting small money as hobby ptc user or the blogger or the freelancer.

I was invited to a Payoneer event last weekend and I'm not impressed. I'm more confident with using PayPal. You can have two accounts in PayPal, a Personal and a Business or Merchant account using 2 email addresses and different banks.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
But that does not solve the issues of people. Payoneer can take bigger payments, allows refunds and does not block account like paypal does. And so on that note you can see that paypal maybe popular but not usable if you are building serious business. And so though some safety exists, still payoneer and other payment gateways are better.

I am also a new user of PayPal and I've been using it for a month and so far I am satisfied with their services. I don't have any issues nor complaints against them. So, for me if you use it properly, you won't have any problem.

PayPal has been very helpful to me. It's where I get my money for online purposes. So I'm glad that I'm able to receive cash using it. It's totally safe and secure. Just be careful with where you put your information online.

Yes! It's a legit site. I've used PayPal for a few years now, and not once had an issue with it. The transfers to my bank are made in 24 hours, or after a few minutes if I pay a small fee (I usually wait the 24 hours).

Paypal is safe to use. Just be careful on things you subscribe as sometimes they automatically deduct it from your account. Like in spotify, I forgot that I payed and subscribed my brother's spotify account thru via paypal payment and after a month it automatically deducted my money. But I'll guarantee you, it is safe and legit just be careful on things you subscribed.

I’ve used PayPal ever since I had an eBay account which is over a decade now. I’ve never had any problem that made me doubt it’s authenticity. Like any payment provider, as long as you’re sensible with your login info then I don’t think you should encounter any issues.

Paypal is safe but sharing your paypal email including the password on websites can put you in a compromisnig situation.Otherwise, between you and PayPal,you are safe.So if you come across a website asking you to enter your PayPal email and password, think twice before submitting.

Paypal is perfectly, 100% safe. Most people who have problems with it, well those problems are self-inflicted. Bad passwords, giving their info out online or to people who can't be trusted, etc.

I've been using PayPal for so many years that I've forgotten how long I've been with PayPal. I've never had problems with payments or refunds. If a suspicious transaction occurred and I reported it, they immediately investigated and straightened it out. I'm a satisfied customer.

But seriously PayPal is getting annoying lately with all the strick rules they keep mumbling up and making the life of its users miserable.

I'm sure that you have heard about PayPal account limitations? Some of my friends have been a victim of this witch hunt by PayPal.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Never heard about that yet. I actually have no idea that there are some complains about the Paypal service. It is weird because the Paypal service here in my country is doing smooth business. But anyway whatever the issues with your friend with Paypal service I hope they find solutions about it.

There is nothing wrong with using PayPal for processing online payments whatsoever. It's going to get the job done without any problems as long as PayPal service is available in your country.

So far I'm not having any issues in regards with Paypal. Been using Paypal or three months now and I'm glad that I discovered this because I'm using Paypal for my sidehustles. However, there are other payments sites such as Payoneer which is also worth a try.

It's definitely a legitimate website, it's owned by eBay as far as I know. However, they charge you a ridiculous amount (over time) for transferring to and from accounts etc., and have super long wait times on transferring from bank accounts to PayPal balance. They also have dodgy conversion rates, usually in their favor by about 5% of the real conversion rate given by other sources. This gets annoying if you ever deal in other currencies.

PayPal is a trustworthy online account. You have to use it wisely though. They charge you when you want to transfer money to your linked cards or bank accounts. It's a pain for those who doesn't earn a lot. A dollar is still a dollar. You can somehow avoid this though by not withdrawing constantly.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

We have an app in this country where they waive the $5 withdrawal fee. It's called GCash, though I'm not sure if their foreign exchange rates are fair enough. Yes, the best way to minimize costs is to make fewer withdrawals.

Paypal has been around for long and very few of those who've used it have had anything to complain about how safe it is to use. I once had an account limited because I used a fake name and as a result I lost some money. That was my mistake and I learned something from it. If there is anything on your account that can't be verified, change it now.

Security-wise, if you are concerned that someone might somehow slip into your account, turn on two-factor authentication. Each time you login, a text message containing a security code will be sent to the phone number you provided. It'll be harder for someone else to access your account.

I've been using PayPal for more than two years, and I can say that it is safe. The only problem I experienced was when they suddenly locked my account for no reason whatsoever. According to their support, they're just trying to verify a few things regarding my info. I gained access after three days or so.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I don't wish that to happen to me. I don't want any hassle especially withdrawing my hard earned money. It is a bothering idea. I keep everything in careful manners. In spite of issues related to Paypal I still trust their services.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I'm sure no one does, but it seems that it's part of their verification process. Soon it will be experienced by everyone in one way or another. PayPal is a trusted platform and has been there for years. I'm sure they mean no harm by doing so and is only a system check.

PayPal is the safest and most dependable international payment processor that caters to millions of people worldwide. You can't go wrong with it. I haven't experience it's site going down or my account being hacked ever since the day I first used it. That's why a lot of freelancers and merchants trust PayPal.

I've been using Paypal to receive money for my online work. I've experienced no faulty transactions from them so far. What I don't like about the service is the payment fee to send money and the fee they take when you convert dollar to your currency of choice. I feel like a lot of my money is being sucked into Paypal. That's why Payoneer is another competitor I'm looking into.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
Have your default currency in PayPal in USD and use the bank's exchange rate when you withdraw. The USD will automatically be converted to the local currency anyway. Do not let PayPal automatically convert it for you. You'll lose a lot.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

rlpzbeermoney
But doesn't the banks charge you also for the transfer? Like that's why freelancers prefer Paypal to GCash than Paypal to Bank. Yes the bank's conversion is much better than Paypal but by only a little. Sometimes it comes down to the decimal.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
What I mean by "bank's exchange rate" can also refer to GCash or Paymaya's exchange rate. What I mean is this: Freelancers receive payments in USD, let your balance in PayPal remain in USD, then withdraw it in GCash. PayPal's exchange rate compared to Paymaya may have a difference of PHP 0.50 per. Now that's a lot if you're withdrawing $500 ($500x0.50=PHP250).

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

rlpzbeermoney
Oh. I get it now. I'll try it out the next time I cash out. I even availed of a physical card for my Gcash to withdraw money from the ATM. It was just recently that they allowed the free transfers to banks and instant payment to shopping sites. My card is invalid at this point.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

NerdIndeed
Oh, really. I hope you make it work soon. Okay, the point is just to have your PayPal balance in USD then withdraw. See how it compares. Thanks!

Well, i have been using Paypal for about six months now and i have not experienced any major problem till now. Paypal is certainly one of the most trusted and reputed payment gateway available to all sorts of businesses and freelancers. The customer care is also prompt in there responses and generally most of the problems that you may face in your transactions are addressed and resolved. I think that its better to choose Paypal over all other alternatives available to you because of its reliability and reputation

I have been using Paypal for more than 3 years now or maybe 4 because I don’t exactly remember. Anyway I have no issues with Paypal and I find it very convenient as a depository of internet money. What’s the biggest advantage with Paypal is its popularity that it is accepted by big stores. I have been purchasing from some online stores and I use Paypal to pay. No issues whatsoever so I’d say Paypal is great.

I believe PayPal is safe and secure but there are inherent problems associated with it. One is that PayPal is partial to some countries. For some countries, you can only make payments using PayPal, you are not allowed to receive payment which makes no sense whatsoever! Also, you can run into problems if you are using PayPal for your business because your account could be closed for the flimsiest of excuses and then you become cash-strapped. Your business stalls or even dies
