Do you think Payoneer as good as PayPal?

As we all know, PayPal is one of the most popular online transaction medium that most of the people working online use to withdraw funds from the freelancing sites that they work on. One of the major benefits that they give is that they charge less for the transactions.

However, we know that other online transaction platforms are available and one of them is Payoneer. Do you think that it is as good as PayPal?

Payoneer is good. I do not know how to activate it here. How does one do it?

The process is fairly simple.

You register on the site and wait for Payoneer staff to approve your account.

Once they do, payments can still be delayed if your identity isn't verified so you'll need to submit some documents which they'll use to verify your identity. That's it.

I submitted documents but I have not yet received confirmation. Can I wait or find out?

When I signed up I noticed that though they said they approve an account within 24 hours, it took longer than that. About a week if I must be precise. So if you submitted the documents be a little patient. However if it takes longer than 2 weeks and you still don't hear from them, you might need to contact their customer support.

It's good actually the same with PayPal. I have one but I never use it since most of my freelance jobs uses PayPal for payment.

Payoneer is very good. You are connected to big banks in the world and can earn in any currency. Bank of America is for the American collecting account.

Me too. I think Payoneer is also good but I believe PayPal is much better since most of my freelance jobs opted PayPal as their payment option. I don't have any problems or issues with PayPal either. It's easy to use and very user friendly.

Personally I never used Payoneer, because I don't find it to be as comfortable and attractive as PayPal. Many companies nowadays use PayPal to pay for your work. I think that tells us quite a lot about the online transaction system of these two. If people and companies prefer one over another.

I agree, as an Online Freelancer I know that Payoneer is not widely used by freelance sites, that being said it's useless for me because all the sites I'm working on uses PayPal.

To be completely honest with you Kakashi, I think that many services, including Payoneer will go bankrupt sooner or later. They simply wouldn't be needed anymore and people will use other alternatives.

I do have a Payoneer account but my online jobs use Paypal. So, it is pretty useless for me. I am just keeping it in case I'll find a job that uses Payoneer, Who knows in the future I would need it.

I’ve never personally used Payoneer so it’s hard for me to give a definitive answer on that. Overall I think that PayPal has to win for me just based on my pre-existing relationship with them. The fact I’ve used them for a long time with minimal issues is reassuring.

It's a no contest because PayPal is in a league of its own. Payoneer has only a few users while PayPal is being used by millions.

Just the longevity of the partnership between users and PayPal is enough for us to stay. As long as PayPal doesn't do anything stupid, then, I'll still trust them with my money.

Honestly I have never tried using a Payoneer since most of the time I am using a PayPal in most of my freelancing sites that is why I cannot give an exact information about Payooner. But then I am open to used it in my freelancing sites in the future since it is better to have some alternatives whenever the other one experiences some issues.

I haven't tried Payoneer yet. For me, I use Paypal because most of the online transactions that I do have Paypal payment option. I think, for now, Paypal is still good compared to Payoneer. But maybe someday I'll use Payoneer for other online transactions that receive payments through Payoneer so I can try its service.

PayPal will forever remain the giant when it comes to payment processor but payoneer is also good since it a safe and secured platform. One have the benefit of creating account from whichever location. One is having a foreign account easily and a master card is given so that one can cashout money anyway.

I think for Payoneer to be widely used they must promote it further in social media and they should get a lot of merchant and business partners which would use Payoneer thereby boosting it's popularity.

That's right. They should really exert more effort because their competitor isn't an easy one to beat. They should really widen their connections and promotions.

Indo have a Payoneer account since last year, what I don't like about it is that it takes days for them to approve an account. In my case it took 3 days before I received an email saying that I got approved. Since that time, I haven't used my account yet because there's no quick option to withdraw it in my country.

@Kakashi You're right. I used to work on Microworkers and I tried to withdraw with Payoneer. First of all it was a very long process of waiting, thus the commission is very high. Thus it was hard to activate the account of Payoneer for some reason. People don't want to make their lives even more difficult, that's why PayPal will be always superior to Payoneer.

I never thought that you'll go through a long and tiring process with Payoneer. I am just glad that I found PayPal first and I am satisfied with it.

So far I am satisfied with my PayPal subscription so there's no reason for me to try out other options. I have heard of Payoneer but I haven't tried that yet. PayPal provides excellent services for me and it is user friendly.

I agree with you. I think there's no reason for me to transfer to Payoneer if I am satisfied with PayPal's services as of the moment. I hope they don't change and make their system complicated.

I’ve tried using Payoneer and I can’t say that I had a great experience with it. I think it might be that it isn’t yet compatible with my country’s banking system, but I had such a hassle trying to sign up for it and connect my bank account, that I ultimate gave up.

I’ve been using PayPal for about three years now without absolutely any issues, so obviously given my experience I’m going to choose PayPal as the better online payment option.

I’ve definitely heard good things about Payoneer, and plenty of websites use it, but I suppose they still have some kinks to work out in certain countries.

I have not used Payoneer yet as all my online transactions has only required me to use Paypal but I have heard good things about it from acquaintances. Paypal has been well established and is really reliable. I am sure I will be using Payoneer in the future as it grows and more and more companies use them for online transactions.

I have never tied Payoneer. It's not widely used here in our country. I'd still go with PayPal because it has not given me any problem so far. I wouldn't ask for another platform as of the moment.

I have not gotten around yet to use Payoneer, but I have some friends who do use it. The strange thing is, they use it alongside paypal. I think both platforms have their benefits depending on what financial transactions you are involved in. It is a fact of life that there is no one thing that is perfect.

I have only used PayPal although I'm aware of others like payoneer and skrill.I'm comfortable with PayPal.Nowadays, I can withdraw money to my mobile platform.

I agree that PayPal is by far the superior system for online transactions. However I think that payoneer is useful because you have a US checking account. It is also better when you are dealing in large amounts of money. When you reach $25 they can send you a debit card where you can withdraw money directly from an ATM in your country. I think that it is better to have both options.

PayPal did a great job in managing my online payments. I can't find any reason for me to switch to Payoneer. PayPal is widely used around the world and most businesses used PayPal as their payment option. Because of this, It makes me believe that PayPal is so much better than Payoneer.

I have a Payoneer account and i received a payment there from a platform. However, when I wanted to withdraw the money to my bank account, i was told the minimum amount that can be withdrawn to my bank account is $1000. My money has been stuck there ever since. I want to know if I can use the Master card to withdraw my funds? I have not ordered for a MasterCard yet but i can do that asap if I'll be able to use it to withdraw my funds. Please anyone who has knowledge of this should help explain it to me. Thanks

I think that Payoneer payment processor is also a good one but then I am already used to PayPal for along time ago and I don't see any reason for now to stay away at PayPal and shift to Payoneer since most companies do provide to pay at PayPal for some undefined reasons and I think that I need to take it seriously for me to be paid from working as a freelancer

Well, I have registered with Payoneer some months back but I have not used their services yet. I have always preferred to use Paypal for almost all of my online Transactions till now and I have rarely experienced any major problems with my transactions with them. Some problems that I had encountered in the past with Paypal were resolved immediately by the company. I have always preferred to use Paypal due to its reliability and security.

Payoneer is essentially a "wallet" service, where merchants can send funds to your Payoneer account and you will be able to use your funds by withdrawing them from an ATM with your Payoneer MasterCard, or using the card to pay with it. To my knowledge, there's no (simple) functionality to accept payments.

I have been with Paypal for a long time now and although I have no experience with Payoneer I’d say that Paypal is good and that I have not experienced any issues with Paypal. I have been collecting my online earnings thru Paypal and then I withdraw the money to my bank account which is fast and easy and safe too. With Payoneer it might be just the same convenient but at least Paypal is already tested.

Yes Payoneer is also good. They have a reward money for referrals and they have lower deduction for fees.

Payoneer and PayPal are both good online transaction medium sites. Payoneer on the other hand gives a free $35 upon signing up. Payoneer is already making its name and could be the closest as a PayPal alternative. Both are tested so there's no way not to try any of these online payment processors.

In term of payment charge, I would personally vote for Payooner. However, most freelancing job for international clients requires a PayPal account and not Payoneer. Had Payoneer been an option for most freelancing jobsites, then it could be at par with PayPal.
