    Do you mean crawling? Crawling is what a search engine does to read your site. They are often referred to as spiders since they are crawling the web. Spiders read your content and pass the information to the search engine for proper indexing.

    If you get enough credible high page rank backlinks to your site the very first month it's open, then maybe it's possible to get a page rank of one or two right away.  Otherwise you might have to wait awhile.

    If the site is promoted a lot and it does what it is supposed to do it will get a pr faster then other sites that promote bad.

    A search engine crawler is a program or automated script that browses the World Wide Web in a methodical manner in order to provide up to date data to the particular search engine.
