    It is always good to write genuine content that is unique from yours competitors content. If you don't want to risk a penalty use the no-index tag to tell Google that they shouldn't crawl duplicated pages.

    When you have duplicate content on your website, Google will rank your website low or even de-index. You can avoid Google penalty by publishing original and unique contents. original means the content created by you are the content that you acquired by hiring someone to write for you. Unique contents mean no similar contents exist online. In order to avoid having duplicate content on your website, you should never resort to rewriting the contents available on the web or using an article spinner to create contents. You should never write for search engines, our article should be written for humans.

    One method of managing your website is to upload unique content which means it is original and not copied from another site. However, it should not be copied from your site either which means you should not post an article twice on your site. My suggestion is to write your contents on a word document so you can search that document for duplicates when you write a new article.
