What is the basic difference between old, new method of SEO?
As we know old method of SEO is article marketing,directory submission,rss feed submission etc.
What activities are there in new method of SEO?

Seo has always been the same old or new! Quality content and quality backlinks. Old seo used to be about on page Meta tags, keyword density and all that bullshit but that is irrelevant now! I have a client that insists on 6% keyword density and i sit there and chuckle to myself about all the money he's wasting on this very old technique!

Content is still king, that has never changed. Relevant high PR manually built backlinks are also a tried and true method regardless of which google update we are on

Aren't you a SEO expert and you should know that? "I am an SEO expert" is in your description.

New and old SEO are mostly marketing trick for people to sell you their super duper methods, claiming "old" SEO doesn't work any more. Most of "old SEO" works the same as it did, although "new SEO" will focus much more on social signs.

I am new in the SEO industry and currently a learner so I have no experience with the old methods of SEO. But with the new methods I guess the backlink is the most popular because there is a big majority of discussions in this forum that is about backlinks. But it is not easy to post a backlink to a site because you have to be discerning so that your backlink will be considered quality backlink.
