    What is the basic rate of 100 words for an article?

    i wanted to know what people are charging for 100 words in an article. also i am interested in the level of articles that people are writing.

    It depends on the quality, niche and difficulty of the given project. For example I charge from $1 to $5 per 100 words. It all depends on the factors I just mentioned.

    If you get $5 for 100 words of content then I’d say that is big money because if you multiply that by 10 to write 1,000 words of content then you earn $50 which is really substantial. Thanks for sharing this inspirational information because I have to admit that I am earning so low that sometimes I couldn’t even buy lunch with my earnings. But maybe this coming year will be better for me.

    Normally, I charge $1 for 100 words. However, how much I charge depends on various factors such as the topic and type of article. If the topic I have to write needs a lot of research, I will charge more. Recently, I wrote an article that had to be researched a lot, I charged $65 for writing 3500 words. However, I have also written the same length article for just $6.

    That $1 per 100 words means you can earn $5 with 500 words which is, I think, fair enough when the article is not difficult as to require a research. Maybe I can write 500 words in an hour or 2 if the topic is about pets because I am well versed with such subject. What’s best in writing topics that I know is that I enjoy writing about it since most of the information come from my head.

    I think for Asians using English as a second language, $1 for 100 words is a fair price. However, a native English user having the same skills and experience as mine would never work at this rate, he will be charging around $2-$3 per 100 words. THus I believe the rate also depends on your location. Normally, people will not pay more for someone coming from non-English background. I am saying this based on my experience.
