why Takes so long to rank high in Bing?

I can make a new site and rank first page on Google within a month or so. But my rankings in Bing takes months and months before I show up at all in the top 100. Do they value domain age that much or what is the reason for this ?

Not as many people use bing, so it takes time for them to value up and get higher overall positions. Bing is an old service now too. Older pages have much higher stature.

I actually find it easier to rank in Bing than in Google. But hey, each search engine has their own hidden algorithms and no one really knows what the heck is going on, really, so it's just a lot of guesswork and testing, testing, testing!

Interesting discussion. So I guess that Bing values authority over anything else. I guess its a good thing, but it also shows why it is behind Google. The old sites may not have content that applies to current culture, thus it may not interest audiences. Google on the other hand ranks first on content value and usability and especially when its something that people are frequently searching for. This maybe where Bing is going wrong.

We have to bear in mind that search engines have their own idiosyncrasy, so to speak that what you see in Google cannot be expected to be seen in Bing. It really takes time for the SEO work you have done on your site to take effect that sometimes it takes months. Taken into consideration is the policy of the search engine regarding the algorithm that they use. Just be patient and continue with the SEO work and everything will be fine.
