Cannot get refund on canceled order

Canceled my order and now my money is stuck in account balance rather than the original location. Please help me send it back to the credit card it came from. I contacted support and they told me since it was paid from my balance it cannot be sent back, but I have a statement that shows it was paid from a card and not my balance.
