New Feature: Request An Official Extension of Your Deadline

We are so proud to bring you a new feature that allows you to request an official extension of your deadline. So no more late deliveries!

Now rather than letting your order go past-due, you can ask for an official extension of deadline. Please look for the 'Request More Time' option on the order page, next to the 'Deliver Completed Work' option.

The deadline extension will be no greater than the original deadline. So for instance, if the deadline was 2 days, then extension will be up to 2 days, as well. You can also request a shorter deadline too, to suit your needs.

The buyer has the option to accept or reject your deadline extension and you'll only have the chance to request an extension once per order, whether or not it's accepted or rejected.

Please be aware that if you use this feature, staff can automatically close late orders that are 2 days late. So please, deliver all orders in a timely manner for maximum buyer satisfaction and use this feature only when needed.

Just for even further clarification..
If you have a 2 day delivery time and notice that you won't be able to make it. You can then request an extension of the deadline by up to two days (because you have 2 days for starters?). So staff will be able to close orders which is 2 days late, beyond the extension?

In this scenario:
Staff will be able to close the order if it's 6 days late?

There's questions from Sellers though @Beverly that need to be answered, either from you or other staff.

@hitmeasap @sunil0021 had asked what happens to the after the order is late after an extension...

I'm under the assumption that it would be closed by staff. Is this correct Beverly? Would their account be dinged negatively if this were to happen?

I just wanted to come back and say thanks for this additional feature. I've found this quite helpful, especially with some of the bigger/custom services we offer. Sometimes the deadlines just can't be met and the clients are fine with that.
