What's the shortest amount of time you have left a forum open?

One of my shortest run forums was about a month. I had a great idea for a forum but lost my funding source and had to close it down as the hosting was too much to justify paying on my own.

My best friend asked me to guest post on his forum, but it only stayed open a month. And, I really liked that forum. That was the last time I really got involved in a brand new forum as it was disheartening to lose it after all the work we put into it.

A friend of mine opened a Doctor Who forum and had it open for a few months and we all posted there so much and then one day the database was lost along with all our lovely posts. That was heartbreaking. Later she opened another Doctor Who related forum on Xenforo and though the forum looked ten times better than the one she had on the free software, it was not the same. I think the forum had just lost it's energy. I miss that original forum a lot.
