What if members won't post in main content subforums?

I would prefer that members post in main content forums if possible, but it seems that some days they only want to post in forum games areas. Tips on dealing with this please.

The forum games section doesn't really serve a purpose on a forum. However, you could add a general chat section where members can talk about non niche related things and this might help generate more content that is somewhat relevant or keep your forum looking active. As for getting more content on your main forum, you might have to hire someone for that job if your regular members are not active enough.

Your admins and moderators should be posting in main content sections daily, even when your regular members don't.

I agree with Carson. I think that when they post there, it will draw others to post there as well.

If the admin posts in places it is a great way to get some good debates going. Post interesting questions and people will be drawn to post there.

I agree with Beverly. Hiring someone might be the best way to go until the forum picks up speed.

Maybe you should shut down those other forums until members start posting in your main subforums again.

What I notice in this issue are the plenty of posts in the off topic board. There’s even a post that counts. The starter would post the word or the number 1 and then you can follow with the next number which is 2. There’s also the thread about an adjective that you will use to describe the member who posted above yours. Pardon me but I find that silly and it is apparent that they are just wanting to have many posts. Or maybe it is a test to determine if the members are active?
