How do you deal with the loneliness of freelancing?

One of the things I was not prepared for was the loneliness or isolation that comes along with freelancing. Just me and my PC alone in my apartment, for hours on end working away. When I was working in an office, I was surrounded by cubicles filled with other people and constant noise. Sometimes, I'll take my MacBook to the local coffee shop, which has wifi, just to be around other people. But, it still doesn't feel the same.

Sometimes, I crave isolation even when working as it helps me keep a clear head and have room to think. Just for me, I don't mind the isolation. But, I also get out of the house occasionally to socialize.

Since I work at home as a professional writer and freelancer, I'm almost always surrounded by my family. I don't mind having company, even while working. Just saying, I never feel lonely.

I am lucky for the most part in that regard, as my other half makes his living solely online and nowhere else. Him and I are able to bounce ideas off one another, discuss trends, products, and so on. We share the same work space, and provide support for one another when things get frustrating or overwhelming. I thoroughly LOVE working along side of him everyday. We have an awesome base of communication, we are both very work oriented, and it's just another way we can spend more time together.

While both of us work online; sharing the same office space, we tend to lack socially as he stays behind his desk, and I stay behind mine for long periods of time, on an ongoing basis. So, in some sense of the way it would be classified as "loneliness" because we haven't taken the time to even watch a movie with just the two of us, let alone go out with our friends. We strive to continuously work to achieve the goals we want to meet. How do you deal with the loneliness of freelancing?

Isolation is my requirement at home because I don't want to be disturbed when I am working on the computer. But after an hour of being alone, I get a bit bored so I would stand away from the computer and do something else. I don't think I can work for 4 hours straight in isolation. That would be tedious for me.

I don't know but I just like being alone when I working unless you're referring to the loneliness when one is not working, then it better one takes a walk, get to the mall and get to see one or two friends.I believe with this one will feel better afterward.
