I do both depending on the subject matter / how busy i am. Id say its about 50/50 hand written / outsourced for me and my 20 odd sites

and utilizing HubPages & Squidoo are essential - ESPECIALLY for very specific niche topics. For awhile before i sold 3 of the 4, I was earning $7-900 per month from having only hubpages & squidoo pages setup & backlinking to the cpa product sites we build, which were very simple - but the method still works, just lots of writing - but then again you can always hire a good SEOClerks writer or find bulk content for cheap in the writing section here Do you write content yourself or you outsource?

I like to write my own content. It is something that I really do enjoy and the feeling of completing a project makes me feel great.

I think that for me it would be better to have me write it myself. I am sort of a perfectionist on things and want them my way.

I outsource my important stuff, but for tier 2+ links.. there are tons of great programs that can generate articles for you.

I write my own content. It would just feel weird having someone else write for me as I'm very picky about the quality of my blog posts and Hubs.

I see what you mean Beverly. If I want the job done right, I just need to do it.

Depends on if I have the time to write or not. Or if I feel in the mood.

I would want to write it myself instead of having it outsourced. Not sure if I would be able to let someone do it for me as I am a control freak.

I have done a bit of both in the past. I think that it is whatever I am really in the mood for.

I have not yet outsourced any of my contents, I prefer to write my own contents.

I have 57 articles across 3 blogs and all those articles were written by me.

Very cool that you have been able to do this yourself! Did you write them all in a short span or over a course of some time?

I have a great writer/researcher who give me quality content, very organic and Google friendly...with the amount of things I have going on its nice to be confident in my content being top notch on all our websites.

And what are you paying per article or post? Did you hire the writer via SEOClerks or independently off a forum?

It averages out to about 3 cents per word, I actually found her accidentally on CL (eeew) I know, but funny story is I had someone place an add for me on a writers forum but they placed it on CL as well as the forum and I became affiliated with a great writer/researcher.

Thanks a lot for that information. Do you have a link to the writer's forum where you originally posted the ad or remember the name?

Depends on what you like to do. I like to write so I do it. If I was not very good at it, then I would hire someone.

Done both. Just really depends on what I have time for and such.

So far I have been writing for my blog and never felt the need to hire someone. If I am good at something then there is no need for me to hire a freelancer. However, in the past, I did hire freelancers to help me complete tasks which I was not good at. Sometimes you can also save some costs by outsourcing your project if the outsourcer's cost is less than your own cost.

I never intend to buy content or hire someone to write content for my blogs. Having a blog means you love to express yourself so you should have the capability to produce the needed contents of your website. I understand that most websites now are created for the money and I have to agree that if that is the purpose then hiring someone to create the contents for you is just logical. But for me, I would rather spend time and effort to come up with good content that would please me very much.

I am a writer. I write my own contents. I have also hired writers to write for my websites. However, I have outsourced only once. I have a fashion website and my knowledge on this topic is limited. I could, of course, write a fashion niche article by doing research, however, I did not have time, therefore, I hired a fashion writer to write on my website. I am again thinking to hire writers to develop contents for my websites.

I write my content myself, I haven't tried outsourcing my content because I like writing my own blogs and I hate spending money on posts. I do have friends who contribute content for free.
