Should Youtube charge a fee for uploaded videos?

If Youtube charged a fee per video uploaded, do you think you would still use the site? Right now, it's free to upload videos, but that could change over time.

What type of fee are we talking about? For a small one dollar fee, it might be worthwhile being able to upload a video to show publicly. Though, it would be good if private videos such as those you are saving just for your own family would remain as free uploads as the bandwidth used to view those pages would be very limited as they would get no views but from yourself.

I think it would be a great concept, however I strongly feel they would lose much of what they have.
The same with FB accounts too, they would lose MANY of their members.

I would vote for the option of a professional membership which would be available for artists and creators versus regular Youtube users.

And, I wonder how much money they would charge for this service as there could be additional bandwidth fees involved for large uploads.
