What do you prefer..Ebooks or Printed Books?

Personally i like to read everything that is in my interest, it can be an ebook, book, magazine or anything else. However, i think books are very popular nowadays , but i could say same thing for ebooks, because they are more accessible from anywhere.

I really like reading books, mostly these recommended by some friends, but since we spending more and more time online, nowadays i am reading more ebooks and online magazines and i guess that's the future of reading.

Quite recently I was wondering how long it would be before printed books stop being made, surely this will happen at some stage? Certainly from an environmental point of view it would be a good move, but I so love reading a printed book!

I've read hundreds of ebooks and for a long time, that's all I wanted, but more recently I like the idea of reading a printed book. Maybe if only because I see or own a printed book so rarely. I don't read books very often now, but when I read a book, it's likely going to be an ebook as that's what I have access to. However, so far, I don't like the selection of ebooks that I have as they are not really as indepth as printed books. Though, once I read a fiction ebook on my laptop and it was a fun experience. Not really like reading the same book in printed form, but pretty nice. If I owned a Kindle, it would have been nicer. What do you prefer..Ebooks or Printed Books?

Quality of ebooks is very discussable becuse they are published by real writers but also with real amateurs and wannabe writers, while procedure to publish printed book is so much different and goes trough many hands and reviews before publishing. There could be big difference.

Well I love reading in the bath, this is only a good idea with a printed book.... I hate to see what would happen to a wet Kindle/ iPad/Laptop LOL.

There is something super special about having a long hot bath in winter with a good book!

I enjoy reading but many printed books are so expensive. So lately, over the last 4 years I decided to read ebooks mostly. I like the fact that I have a backlit screen which allows me to read in bed with the lights switched off. I love this in winter especially, you know, tucked up cosily in bed reading What do you prefer..Ebooks or Printed Books? obviously the feel and smell of a traditional book is always going to remain unmatchable with an ebook, but I think that ebooks are a good option, as long as the ebook reader is well charged. I hate it when it shuts down on me in the middle of a chapter. Of course with a paper book this cannot happen.

It truly depends on price and convenience for me. Sometimes you can get an eBook for cheaper online than you would at a bookstore. There is many websites to download free eBooks and thousands of titles to choose from. It is also much easier for new authors to publish their books online, without paying publishing companies hundreds to thousands of dollars to get the book published for you.

I personally like to read books as compared to online, because this is more comfortable as compared to take laptop, phone or any other gadgets., and no need to see screens whole the time. That is why reading book is still in habits to all.

I like how you mentioned that it is more comfortable to read a printed book than to read eBooks. However, in terms of health, it's is more unhealthy to read eBooks with a laptop, phone, kindle, or those other gadgets you mention. I saw an article posted by a news site suggesting that laptops, if on your lap for prolong periods of time can in fact cause cancer. Now, that is quite scary. You think you're doing nothing harmful when you're on a laptop, but prolong use can harm the body. Maybe this is one reason that people tend to still love reading those old smelly printed books.

I prefer reading a printed book because reading from a computer or tablet for a long period of time hurts my eyes. However, one of the biggest advantage with eBooks is that you can print it out yourself so you can turn it into a printed book but at the same time, you can bring up the digital copy whereever you are. I still buy printed copy of books; both has their advantages and I think you can’t go wrong with either one. Normally ebooks tends to be cheaper but with the printing costs, they are probably to same so I am indifferent with the two.

It depends on the type of book. If it is fiction then I love a real book, there is nothing quite like the feel of a printed book. Call me old fashioned but this is always my preferred book.

Then if it is a book for learning or training I like an eBook. I like to be able to save training manuals on my laptop and be able to access them whenever I need them and wherever I am. I love learning more about online marketing and SEO so I have a little collection of eBooks.

Hi procoder thanks for your interesting question. I like to read book whatever printed or eBook. Though, nowadays I do not get much time to reading any book. Despite of, If I get free time, I tried to learn online newspaper mostly. But, compare with printed and eBook. Sure! I like to read eBook. Because, it is very easy to get from online and more cheap than printed book. I have not much collection for eBook but I have some and most of the eBook related with online marketing e.g social media merketing, or CPA marketing or Affiliate marketing.

Interesting question procoder. I suppose I should say ebooks as I'm an author of a few myself.. But that's not the case. I actually prefer reading books or magazines. I don't know why really, I just think I like the fact of turning a page one by one, manually. The actual feeling of paper between my index finger and my thumb, (Which I use to turn the pages). However I do still think that ebooks are more convenient? as they don't take up any space, are easy to bring wherever you go etc. And I probably read more ebooks than books, but I still like to read books more than ebooks.. What do you prefer..Ebooks or Printed Books?

I am not much of a big reader, never have been. But I think I would rather a regular hard cover or even soft cover book as I like the old fashion way. Technology has become too much.

You may call me a traditionalist so you can expect that I prefer the printed book over the e-books that is now getting to be in fashion. I understand that e-books are convenient since they are digital and can be copied easily. With the printed book, I need a big storage since the physical books occupy a big space. But I still love the printed books for convenience to my eyes. I am not comfortable in reading stories on tablet.
