    Aged social media accounts – do they have more clout?

    Can anyone explain to me why people refer to "aged social media accounts"? I have seen this quite often that a seller says that they will promote your content on an aged social media account.

    Does this mean that that social media account somehow packs more link juice? Or is this meant that the account is trusted more and holds more authority because it is obviously not a "fly by night" account.

    Well I'm not too sure about aged social media accounts, and I'll explain why:

    I have an aged twitter account, and I use it only for spam, yes spam only on an aged twitter account. This twitter account spams links, retweets, tweets, any kind of spam that you could think of automatically, throughout the entire day, all days of the week, for a continuous period until I can stop it. However, as of late, I'm not sure how to stop it because it's out of my own control. Yes, it's an automated bot process and the bot has a mind of it's own. The thing is, I for some odd reason get followers, and my posts get tons of favorites, and retweets. I don't know why they do, they just do. I think this is because the account is kinda a real word, and it's mentioned a lot on twitter so this could be a major factor. Now, if I wanted to stop the automation spam, I don't think i could unless I were to remove every app that it's connected to, and it's connected to alot that are intertwined with others.. it's a real big mess.

    Each day the tweets, and likes are removed, and it starts again. It's amazing that the account isn't banned. So you can sort of get a clue if twitter really doesn't like spam.. lol.. i think they do....

    Oh wow Everett that is interesting! I use automation software for my social media media accounts and on a few occasions Twitter has made me confirm that I am real.

    Is your account aged? I never had to confirm that I was a real human, ever. This twitter account is almost 4 years old, and another is almost 7? years old I belive, and both are in good standing. If I ever have to confirm that i am indeed a real human, I would just confirm that i am, via text, or voice, and then repeat, rinse, and reattempt my botting efforts.

    Social media account's age does not actually matter, what matters is the number of followers on the account. Imagine this, there is this facebook page created 5 years ago and has 5 k followers and the another facebook page created just 3 months ago with 10K followers. When you are doing social media marketing which page will give you maximum return the one that is old but has fewer followers and the one that is new but has more followers. However, it is also true that the followers of aged account had increased gradually and for new accounts some tactics are applied.

    I have seen the aged accounts getting more demand. And there seems to be more people relying on them for the promotion. So yes it can be good in such context to get those accounts to work. Another thing is that social media accounts needs to be properly filled out in such case. And it can drive a lot of traffic. So we just learn from those things over a period of time.

    The simple trick is that people see an old account as a more stable account and not out to defraud or do any malicious stuff unlike a new account that a person might not know the intent of the owner and people believes that for an account to last that long then it on the good side of the platform or else it would have been ban or deleted by the social media platform.So getting one's link on these platforms would bring saner people.

    This is my take on the age of the account. When I receive a friend request from someone that looks respectable, I check on his profile. And when his account has a few friends or a few posts, that is obviously a young account. Forget it, I will pass on that. I don’t exactly just accept a new friend but if the account is aged with lots of friends an countless of posts then maybe that friend request has a reason to be accepted. In other words, you don’t know if that new account is just a hacker or spammer so why waste time on that?
