    Buying Games Cheap And Sell Them For Profit? - Do You Think It's possible?

    Hey guys,
    Do you think it's possible to buy & sell videogames for profit? - And is it legal to do it?

    Take a look at instant gaming for instance. (Here.)

    - 33% Discount. - 48% Discount. 45% Discount. And so on..

    • Would it be possible to resell them?

    I mean, if I could buy games with 45% discounts, I could probably also sell them with 20% discount for instance. That would basically mean that I would end up with 25% profit. - And I wouldn't even have to OWN the actual games myself either, as I could just wait for the orders and buy the games manually from instant-gaming (or other similar sites) and profit. - But are you allowed to do that?

    Well you would have to discuss those technicalities with the person that owns the rights to those games I would think.

    Wouldn't it be the same type of thing as selling a digital product? You would have to have resell rights?

    I don't know Lynne.. I guess you'll have to have some sort of rights or license if you're a large business who wants to do something like that.. But if you're doing it like a "private person", I don't actually think you'll need any rights. Sure, you can't sell 100 copies per day without rights. I bet you'll need some rights if you sold more than 5 copies per day too.

    If you buy the actual disk and sell it, then I think it would be legal but with this, it seems like it is all done digitally and I am not quite sure about it. The other big problem is who will you sell it to?

    Well, I obviously don't have any clients right now, but I just thought about this when I saw the website.. If it's legal, then it should be fairly easy to make a few sales at least, as people love discounts.

    I totally agree with you. VR is and will be the next big thing for sure. - I'd love to be able to play VR games like Assassin's Creed etc in the future. That would be an amazing experience.

    Taking into account the link in your description, I will assume you are referring to new games.
    Well, videogames after some months go down abruptly in price and they call it "promotions", when in reality it is something that occurs naturally.
    With very small margins, even if you don't sell only 15-20% (or even less), you break even or lost money.
    After some time, the games go down in value again and you may need to adjust... I'm not taking into account possible chargebacks that will ruin the situation even more...
    For new games I would use affiliate programs but never buy the games, it's too risky!
    Regarding used games, retro gaming, etc. it is a different story!...

    I think you have to really got to ensure that buying and selling those games does not violate any existing rights. To do so, you need to talk with the owners of those games to ensure that you're doing the right thing and not something that will land you in trouble in a long time.

    I think you'll still make a profit be it small or big it still a profit which is better than nothing and moreover it not compulsory to give a whole 20% to a buyer, you can reduce that to make more profit from your end.

    I know some of the friends who are doing this on steam. And for them it seems to be working out just fine. Though some of the time such type of account may lead to more of an issue. But it's definitely doable. And people do that all the time. Make sure to just sell the steam account with such games preloaded. And that can save you lot of hassles later. And considering steam is good enough on this part, there are no legal issues.

    There are a lot of servers. try to search in google. The main problem of finding servers on google is that sometimes the players are very toxic. Or it even harder to find a popular server with a normal player that doesn't griffin. Usually, I play only with my friends on our hosted server. We host our server on https://ggservers.com and I think it is ok. If you have friends that play Minecraft just try to play together on your own server. I think it is more interesting because there are only persons you know and no one will destroy your building without a purpose.

    Discuss this with the person who has the rights to the game. That would be the best solution. When my kid played Minecraft, they tried to stick him with a server with great game modes for money. Good thing my son told me that, and I prevented the ridiculous foolishness. Scammers try to cash in on kids because of their inattention and gullibility. It turned out that the server was private, and the scammer was asking for money to access it. Then I found a child a good server servers-minecraft.net with available modes of play, so he was not upset and now sits only there. Be careful with such things. You may be considered a cheater.

    I also do not really understand why even waste time on this activity, if you can start gambling and earn money from it. Now there are so many different online gambling games, but I advise you to play pinup dolls game. I like this game because it is quite simple, but at the same time exciting. If you don't mind gambling, then try it too.
