How do you find your keywords?

We all know that in order to get traffic to our website, we need to use good keywords. So far so good but how do we find those keywords? After much research I found that checking Google trends is the key to success. You will see there what is trending that day and what people are searching for. Depending on your niche, you can use those keywords.

I search on the internet for certain keyword/s keyphrase or long tail search term. When I do not find what I am looking for I go to keyword planner tool and check the search volume for the keyword/s, keyphrase or long tail search term. If the search volume is more than 500 searches in a month, lo and behold, I found my keywords.

Gee, you certainly have a good knowledge with keywords. That 500 searches means the keyword is effective? Anyway, all this time, I thought that keywords should be directly relevant to the subject matter otherwise it will not be considered by search engines. But I think I am wrong because keywords are varied with what I see in some websites. Even in Youtube, some videos have keywords that are not related to the video.

If you use keywords that have at least 500 hits, you have chances of ranking high on the search engines. And if you are targeting the keywords that get more than 5000 hits, the competition is so high that it becomes difficult to rank high. Therefore, I always aim for keywords that get between 500 and 5000 hits.

Finding a good keyword is an important factor to get more and more traffic to site. Google trends can help you and you use keywords according to the trends and you definitely get traffic .

There is no doubt that keywords help us rank high in the search engine and gain traffic from it. Keywords can be found from Google Trend. It is easy to find out that what people are searching in specific time and location.

Google trends is definitely what I use to find my keywords. They have definitely provided accurate information for me and my niche. If anyone is looking for an easy way to search for keywords I would definitely recommend Google trends.

Well, when I first started researching on search engine optimization and using specific keywords for my blog. Immediately I was directed to Google trends. However, I also use analytics from the top searched keywords on social media networks (like Twitter) as well to include in my articles for my blog. Basically, I'll use whatever website that has the most relatable accurate trends to my blogging niche. "SiegeMedia" has a good SEO list as well based on the top 100 Google keyword searches. Be sure to check out "PageTraffic" too.
