An authority guest post can go a long way when it comes to your website and blogging.  You need authority guest posts if you're in competition with anyone, and that's almost always the case if you're selling a service or product.  You'll need to look around and do your research before you start finding the perfect websites and blogs to contact in order to get your amazing content on their pages, but that's not too difficult, it's just time consuming lol.

Like I said, it's not all that difficult to do when it comes to getting a guest post on a popular blog.  All you really have to do is contact plenty of blogs within your niche and see if they will allow a guest posts.  Some will say yes, some will say no and some will say yes as long as you pay them for it lol.  I actually don't mind paying for guest posts as long as it's a reasonable price for what the website is offering.  If the blog or website has a DA of 11 then I'm going to laugh at them if they say I have to pay them anything over $10   Now if they have a DA over 30 and I can get a legitimate dofollow link from them, I'll pay a good amount for that type of link since they probably don't have much spam and crap on their pages   Of course you'll have to build up your authority and show them your own blog or website that you plan on linking back to.  If they like your website, they will usually respond to you if they're interested in getting you to come in and publish some content for them.

Getting guest posts has been a great way to advertise your own website or blog as well as increase your SERPs across the board.  You can pull traffic directly from the blog you're posting on if it has decent traffic and you will get the "link juice" flowing through your backlink within the post to your website or blog   For this reason, there are people out there spending weeks just emailing companies within their niche to see if they can get a guest post.  They'll cycle through all the free ones and then get into the paid ones if they have the funds to do so.  If you can't do this yourself, you can always hire someone to do the contacting and posting for you

Like said above, when you get a backlink within your guest post you are getting that coveted "link juice" aimed back at your website which will increase your rankings in the search engines results pages (SERPs).  When you're getting links from niche related websites or blogs that have a high Domain Authority (DA) will have a benefit in the overall game plan of increasing your rankings and traffic


Driving traffic to your website or blog
If you're getting some guest posts on niche related websites that have a decent amount of traffic, you will usually get some traffic through the links you have placed within that post.  You will get direct traffic through the links from the people who frequent the site or you might even get some traffic from anyone who shares your guest post to anyone following them on social media.  People will click the shared link on social media, go to the page where you have a guest post and possibly click through your link and come to your website or blog


Branding
By getting your content on other niche related websites or blogs you are technically branding yourself and your business.  You're getting the word out about your website which will in turn bring people in because they see you as the authority.  In the long run you will notice that your name is getting all over the place because of your guest posting endeavors

By getting a guest post or two on a website or blog within your own niche that has a good authority will always boost your own credibility.  This is because the readers of that website or blog will notice that the owners are letting you come in and post, which really means that they trust you to post quality content for their readers.  The readers won't know if it's a paid or free post, they will just see your content, signature, link and picture which will likely get a click and they will read some stuff on your website or blog


Builds a presence
Over time you will have plenty of guest posts out there and people will be coming to your website day in and day out.  Think of it as throwing a net out into the ocean to see how many fish you can catch.  The more guest posts you get out there, the bigger the net gets and the more likely you'll catch something   If you didn't catch on, you'll be spreading your presence across your niche and get more clicks through your links from people who are interested or people who are just curios.  But since you're writing a guest post and not paying a PPC campaign, you don't have to pay for this click

When it comes to getting these guest posts, it's not always the easiest thing.  Usually you need to build a good amount of content on your own website which revolves around a service or product.  After you build that up, you will notice more and more people accepting your guest posting requests.  Now if you plan on posting on a super high authority website and you don't have the biggest pull in the niche, you might have to pay someone to post for you.  You'll have to network in order to make connections with big bloggers in your niche and then ask them to make the post for you.  They'll likely ask for some sort of compensation for this and sometimes they may just do the guest post for themselves, but that's a risk you need to take   Normally if you build a good relationship with a big blogger in your niche, they will have known of guest blogging and will have already had a link where you wanted to post.  They might just do it for free or for the fee that the authority site is asking.

If you don't want to do it all yourself, you can hire someone to go out and contact all the websites in your niche with a decent DA.  They can be like your sales reps but instead they will just be trying to get your content out and logging all the websites that say you can post.  If you do have someone help you out, they will need to know your budget and they will need to know how to haggle a better price if the blog or website wants compensation for your post.  If you tell them your budget is $500 for the month and they don't know how to haggle, you might have just bought a $500 blog post on a basic blog, which is never good.




In Conclusion:
Guest posting isn't a single method that can get your ranked for every keyword you're targeting, but it is a neccessity that needs to be added to your overall campaign.  Not getting guest posts will only put you behind your competition, and we all know that's a bad thing lol.
