What is your playlist while you are working online?

Personally I always listen to jazz with added with some 80s-90s acoustic. It makes me feel relaxed and keeps my mind focused and sharped while doing some online jobs. I guess it depends but that's what works for me.

I listen to those genres you mentioned when I'm resting haha. For work purposes, i need something heavy with a high BPM to keep me productive like some Industrial Metal or techno. I drink some coffee or another stimulant also to keep me sharp.

Coffee is <3. Haha. So you are into metal huh PedroP. I too am a fan of metalcore. Although it's situational. Nothing beats coffee though. What is your playlist while you are working online?

Classic is always good. It helps you focus and keep focused. I am a classical fan myself. It's just that I believe the right type of music needs to be used at the right time. For me, Classical music is better for relaxing.

Yes Filipino musics are easy and relaxing to listen. Though you dont understand the meaning of every lyrics but you will feel the message of it. I used to listen some songs that I do not understand like Arab,Spanish,Portuguese and French songs and they would really nice to listen.

Classic songs is amazing. Love to listen on that too as well as mellow songs. It depends I guess in our mind if we wanted to work while listening the musics that we wanted to hear. As long as we can bother our co employee so be it.

I use to listen to music while I worked through the day but don't hardly do any more as it tends to put me off and distracts me. But when I use to listen to some music it use to be oldies karen carpenter and Elvis , Neil sedaka and many more . Can't beat the oldies are classics to listen to.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

galegatling
Yep. Can't beat the oldies but goldies. I used to listen to classic songs such as those from Europe, the Eagles, the Carpenters, Air Supply and much more. How I wish those kinds of songs would still be made in our current music industry. The emotion and the lyrics are so, strong. Unlike now, it's all about the money, and views. x.x

Oldies but goldies! I would not say better lol When I am working online I don't have a playlist, but I know what I usually listen the most. ADELE is always there for me haha. Sometimes I just put some youtube playlist of 80's music.

I listen to Youtube playlist mostly. As there are some of the free playlist for the music. You can see that trance music is surely one good playlist that I run. I have subscribed to the trance classic channel. And I usually pick the music from their channel and let it play. I have also added it on my YouTube app. So I can go with any device and change things around. Apart from trance I also listen to some of the commercial music.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's good to know! A YouTube app is also handy. By the way, have you tried using Spotify? I haven't used it but I heard good things about it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You just can't beat the oldies. There is something about their songs that makes you feel relieved and relaxed. Not like the new pop songs nowadays. Even the latest love songs are considered pop songs. It's like they are aiming for something, not aiming for the soul. But hey, that's just my opinion. I listen to music on Pandora. I have a playlist "We Ride by Rhianna" and just listen to the songs recommended to me. If I do not like them, I will thumbs down.

Some people think I am weird especially being female who likes rap music of the 60's, 70's and the 80's. I listen to a lot of tupac's rap albums on repeat. I also have a collection of j.coles album too.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

If you tell me about the rap then i will tell you 2pac, nice choice. There is a good meaning inside his songs, not like other rapers, the most of their songs are only nonsense.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Most of the times I prefer listening to EDMs when I'm working online. It keeps me on my grooves and keeps me motivated. Other than that I do listen R&B and hip hop music because of the rhythm and beats. Those kinds of music gives me a boost and I feel more active. But personally I love Rock music when I'm doing nothing or when I'm traveling.

I find that when I am working online my go to playlist is a Country playlist that I have on Spotify. I have added to this playlist artists such as Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes, Lady Antebellum, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Chris Young, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton and Carrie Underwood just to name a few. I find that the music I have in this playlist helps to keep me motivated and helps keep me in a good mood and I really feel you need then when working so you don't lose concentration.

I like reggae and Hip hop with some occasional old school and some pure moods just plain melody when i'm multitasking online. Sometimes I find myself creating my own tunes and coming up with a catchy line to a new song. I'm not sure where it's coming from because I've never really delve that deeply into music production but I sure like the potential of where I can go with this ensemble!

For the most part, I don't often listen to music when I'm working online as it tends to be a bit distracting. Even if it uses 5% of my focus, that is 5% that I could be putting into my work. This is why I typically only put on white noise such as ocean waves or rain because it stimulates my senses in a way that isn't distracting.

On the other hand, sometimes I am working on content that isn't too serious and doesn't require 100% of my attention, and in those scenarios I like to play some sort of ambient music. The kind of music that you might listen to when you are going to sleep. I cannot listen to anything with changing melodies or a fast tempo, even orchestral music, because the constantly changing sounds end up being the center of my attention.

I love indie-rock. I have several stations on Pandora which I have built over the years, and I love to listen to music, as I am right now, as a matter of fact, when I work or play. I could make a list of bands or playlist titles, but it depends on my mood for the day, so one day you might find me on my Avett Brothers playlist and the next day I am on my Superchunk. I love the energy the music gives me as I type away at various projects...

Currently, I've been listening to Oasis a lot. I usually let them play in the background as I work, I find other music quite distracting and it takes me out of focus. Oasis songs, on the other hand, they feel just right for me as if they're not even there (yet I can hear them). It might be because I'm still new to them and I'm not all too familiar with their songs yet, which prevents me from singing along.

Anyone been listening to some Sound Garden or Linkin Park songs lately?
Such a tragic thing that happened to Chester. :'(

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DenisP
I honestly have trouble listening to Linkin Park after what happened to Chester. They used to be one of my favorite bands of all time, and I was constantly listening to them. I was well aware that a lot of their music had themes of depression and suicide, but after what Chester had done, each song feels as if those themes have now been distilled and more potent. I can't listen to a lot of them without starting to feel a lump in my throat and thinking of Chester the whole way through.

My playlist usually RNB genre but sometimes I put some metal songs on it. One way of staying active and alive at work is listening to a metal song even though sometimes I can't understand lyrics lol. I don't usually listen to love songs or any ballad genre because it makes me bored and dull. I like to listen to soundtracks of movies, or the 80's, classic rock bands, R&B, I mean, so much music I do like. It also depends on my mood for that moment.

My playlist while working online is usually the same most of the time. Normally, I play jazz music. Either New York cafe style or piano study jazz. Something that's a compilation generally lasting 2-3 hours at a time. I don't like music with lyrics. I prefer to hear live instruments and jazz pieces from all around the world. It puts me in the zone of working and completing my task at hand.

I've been going through a huge indie music phase for the past several years, and as a result I've developed several playlists over the years of tracks and artists that I really enjoy. I don't always listen to music while I work since some of my jobs require me to work with audio, but if I'm doing design work or animation, I enjoy listening to the indie playlist I've curated so far this year.

Sometimes, if I need to have music playing that doesn't have lyrics, I'll listen to post-rock instrumental groups like God is an Astronaut or Explosions in the Sky, or groups like Emancipator and Ratatat.

There's so much good music out there for us to discover, I just can't get enough of exploring!

well it generally depends on my mood, sometimes I fell like "dancing in the chair" while I work, sometimes I don't but generally it's just poppy music in many variations... I like Coldplay, London Grammar, and Avril Lavigne. The beat keeps me motivated and working. If I have to work late, this is the music I listen to, it keeps me awake. I also like pop music.
