SimplyD out of place

Hi simplyD:
I am sorry you feel out of place here. I buy a lot of things on this site. This site is not a learning site people here are offering services to either build websites and blogs or do promotional services such as site promotion, content writing or even maybe link building. If you were looking for a blog to be built you should got to the WTB tab or the WTT these mean WTB want to buy WTT want to trade. If you post in those categories I'm sure you will get bids and followers there. With out knowing what you are looking for this site can be over whelming. As with anything there are many good vendors on this site but there are also scammers but you always have the option to refuse the work. Sorry for your troubles hope things work out for you! Everybody was a beginner once, and this site is an excellent place to learn about the ins and outs of creating a useful and helpful website. I think it is one of the best out there to be honest. I just think that it can be overwhelming at first. There is defintely a learning curve involved.

This is definitely good site. I have learnt so much from here. Many people have given me suggestions above how to grow my business. The members are really helpful. There are some great posts and I really enjoy reading others comments. I regret not having joined this forum earlier on.

I disagree, this site can be used as a learning site because this community section is great for people that don't have much experience or have some questions to get their answers from people that know the niche well. I know that a few people have definitely benefited from using this community section so it is a great place to learn. But of course, like you said, if you want to create a blog then the best thing to do is to create a job and then hire someone to do it.

This person was wanting to learn about building a blog and has no knowledge in this task I agree if your looking for tips tricks ect. This is a great place to learn about a number of task related to promotion of a a pre built or established sites. The point being she needs someone to build the blog for her and was becoming over whelmed with the site because she did not know where to begin. A lot of things being sold on here if people choose to spend the time will find that it is freely available some where else on the internet. And I still say that this site is not a learning site for a complete newby who does not even know how to build a website or a blog. But a wonderful learning place for the person who already has a website or blog or are looking to get one built for them. The internet in itself can be over whelming if you dont understand where to begin. As all things there has to be a starting point

You have to believe that you can get better on the course of buying things from the site. It may not be easy at this starting period, but I think with time, everything is going to get better for both you and those buying from you.

I don't think there's an issue here if the person herself feels out of place on the site. She must have compelling reasons to feel that way. Yes, there's a learning curve involved in everything but your heart needs to be in it. Perhaps she's not prepared to embrace freelancing life or is prioritizing an offline career. She's just being honest about her feelings and/or skills and is decent enough not to pretend she knows something about freelancing. After all, if one just needs help starting a blog or some information on hiring freelancers on the site, a simple search, a letter to admin, or a thread would have done the trick.

I appreciate the site because I can learn a lot from the tips and expertise of experienced people but I can't always says "Those are great tips", "Keep 'em coming", "Great ideas you have there". At some point, you have to share your own ideas and experiences. If you're not a true blue freelancer or have not started any effort to be one, it's easy to feel out of place.

Being out of place is normal, i think every person had the feeling once in their life. One thing though, i think of it as a positive way of being aware on what do want and you don't want ...in this case a site or a platform. Sharing your thoughts and have people comment is a great way to better understand what might be the reason of being out of place. The next thing probably is to have your thoughts reviewed by analyzing the comments.

Maybe that newbie in this marketplace has a short patience because she might be expecting a lot of transactions coming her way. I think you should try to establish your presence when you are new in any social media network or forum because people who do not know you will not engage in your posts. Especially in a marketplace when trust is very important and you can only gain trust when people get to know you.
