I am looking for advertising agency for my new website. I have a problem understanding the difference between advertising and digital marketing. I have give quotation for these two things advertising and digital marketing. But in actual what is the difference between them? I have gone through all of the best resources that I can see on search but still having confusion differentiating them.

If anyone can explain me what is the difference between advertising and digital marketing?

Digital Marketing and Advertising are in a similar realm but they are different things, and I'll explain.
Digital Marketing is a more evolved form of SEO since someone can't just focus on building some backlinks and calling themselves a digital marketer lol. Marketing is a vast array of things that come together and form one thing, which advertising is definitely a part of, but it really depends on what you need.
Advertising is just something you do on Adwords, BingAds, BuySellAds, and other ad placements. You can actually hire a Digital Marketer to do or manage your advertising since they likely know what they're doing. If you're just paying for advertising, it will likely be cheaper, but that really depends on which company you're going with since they all have different pricing.
I would suggest you do your own advertising to start off and hire a digital marketing agency if needed. You can learn marketing over time and run your ads while learning everything, but don't rush anything because that's the easiest way to kill your SEO. Set up your ads, watch them like a hawk, split test everything and make sure you're not wasting your funds Figure out which ads are getting the best CTR and which are getting the best conversions. I tend to keep the highest performers in these 2 fields and then retarget them with perfectaudience to get them coming back. The higher click ads might not get the best conversions, but I can bring those people back in with discount codes and get them to buy :D
Now, if you're talking about just advertising on a website then that's completely different. You'll just need to purchase an ad spot from that website and watch your traffic and conversions. If you're breaking even with the ad then it's a good one to keep because you can always build up your clientele month after month and make the ad worth much more because you keep bringing customers back due to your amazing work provided :)
