    Agreed with above answer, yeah keywords has much more importance in seo as the traffic gained by the search engines only by keywords.. so picking good keywords is essential.

    Keywords are important so you know what words are more often written statistically so your product can correspond with those often written words. Also to better word your article or website to appeal to a frequent audience. That's what I've learned in my two days here. Hope we all could be of help. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong because ever since I started dealing with SEO, it feels like the answers I get kind of dance around my question but never satisfy what I was looking for in the first place.

    Keyword is the main aspect of SEO. IN other words, you need to understand keyword as the backbone. If there is no backbone human being cannot stand.
    SEO means search engine optimization. SEO is a way to make your content visible on the search engines. Keywords should come on the domain name, site title, content title and content body. If your article is keyword rich, chances of getting traffic and getting ranked higher increases.

    When you upload new contents to your website, you can add tags which are keywords related to the said content. The more keywords you put in, the more chances that you can get traffic when someone makes a search for the keyword. However, there is a certain limit to the number of keywords that you can put in the tags like maybe 10 is the maximum so as not to be suspected of keyword stuffing.
