    How often do you rotate your staff?

    Staff boredom can occur when your staff members are doing the same jobs all the time. For that reason, it helps to alternate jobs or change the board duties around, so each person has a chance to try out a new set of tasks or take on new challenges occasionally.

    Assuming you have a forum, how often do you rotate your staff around the boards so they have different duties and are not doing the same jobs all the time?

    I do not have a forum but I would ask staff first if they wanted to be rotated.

    I would leave the option open for staff members who wanted to try out another job on forum or site. That would be better than arbitrarily assigning jobs based on management preference as it would give staff a chance for input into daily activities.

    I would just let them know that if they are bored to contact me and I would see what I could do to get them into another job they find more rewarding or exciting.

    Good point. You want to think of your forum as fun for everyone on it no matter if they are staff or not. It would be good to switch up staff if you do not want them to be bored.

    Keep a list of available forum jobs that anyone can volunteer for. That will get more voluntary participation from mods than randomly picking someone for a job.
